Glyphosate
Glyphosate is an herbicide used to kill plants and weeds and a variety of other things. It's called a nonselective herbicide, which means that it kills most plants and stops plants from making certain types of proteins that enable them to grow.
Although it has been used in the U.S. since 1974 and is one of the nation’s most popular herbicides, the active ingredients have been described as cancer causing by the the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC).
