They meet at the PJO set, to film season 3, they we're 12 and 14 respectively.

They became best friends quickly. They were 16 and 18 respectively by the time season 5 finale, and the series end (Lets be wishful here and say they've filmed 3 seasons in 2 years)

They were already struggling with their time by the final months of filming PJO, and by the time the show ended their scheduleds were packed, so with time they started drifting apart for lack of time. They talk sporadically, but it's shallow and trivial. They both miss each other but neither knows what to do about it
