I shall. It’s a great ref.
“You tried to change, didn’t you? Closed your mouth more, tried to be softer, prettier, less volatile, less awake You can’t make homes out of human beings. Someone should have already told you that.”
- Warshan Shire, For Women Who Are Difficult To Love (via shadio)
Places where reality is a bit altered:
• any target • churches in texas • abandoned 7/11’s • your bedroom at 5 am • hospitals at midnight • warehouses that smell like dust • lighthouses with lights that don’t work anymore • empty parking lots • ponds and lakes in suburban neighborhoods • rooftops in the early morning • inside a dark cabinet
playgrounds at night
rest stops on highways
deep in the mountains
early in the morning wherever it’s just snowed
trails by the highway just out of earshot of traffic
schools during breaks
those little beaches right next to ferry docks
bowling alleys
unfamiliar mcdonalds on long roadtrips
your friends living room once everybody but you is asleep
laundromats at midnight
what the fuck
galeries in art museums that are empty except for you
the lighting section of home depot
stairwells
•hospital waiting rooms •airports from midnight to 7am • bathrooms in small concert venues
I just got the weirdest feeling I swear
I’ve experienced all of the atleast once except the 7/11 and let me tell ya, this is pretty fuckin accurate
I fucking love liminal spaces.
“So what are you gonna say at my funeral, now that you’ve killed me? Here lies the body of the love of my life, whose heart I broke without a gun to my head. Here lies the mother of my children, both living and dead. Rest in peace, my true love, who I took for granted. Most bomb pussy who, because of me, sleep evaded. Her god listening. Her heaven will be a love without betrayal. Ashes to ashes, dust to side chicks.” - Beyoncé
If you’re ever lucky enough to find a girl who is a hopeless romantic with a dirty mind, you should hold onto that. Because she’ll be yours at two in the morning and at two in the afternoon the following day. She’ll kiss you where it hurts and until it hurts. And that’s important. Someone who not only knows how to turn you on but also knows how to treat you right is someone worth a little something… and a little more than usual.

Maybe we’ll meet again, when we’re slightly older and our minds less hectic, and I’ll be right for you and you’ll be right for me. But right now I am chaos to your thoughts and you are poison to my heart.

After inquiring into every other possible option available to me, I am humbled to be here asking for your help to save my home. Almost three years ago, my grandfather passed away and left me his home which he literally built from the ground up with his bare hands. There has been a miscommunication with lawyers and probate court and now the State of Florida is demanding $9,637.56 in back property taxes by the end of this month (June), or they will seize the property, and put it up for auction on August 15th.
Anyone who knew my grandfather knows he put his all into this home so that he could continue to help his family, and raise me. On October 17, 2004, following Hurricane Charlie, our home burned down, and we lost everything. Luckily, we had insurance and my grandfather started the rebuilding process. Unfortunately, during this time, my grandfather suffered a heart attack and needed open heart surgery. The contractor took advantage of my grandfather’s ill health, and stole approximately $60k from my family. Even though my grandfather struggled, at the age of 80, he worked to finish building this house on his own, so that we could move back in. The reason I’m sharing this back story is so you have an idea of how much my grandfather and this home both mean to me. I’m a college student and cannot come up with this money on my own. The credit world will not provide me a loan for this amount because I don’t have enough substantial credit history. I am asking now for prayers, donations, and for you to share my story so that I may have a chance to save my family home. Thank you..
