|| Get to know PERI “PERIWINKLE” BELL who’s NINETEEN years old and a FRESHMAN in college majoring in ENGINEERING. She is from CORONA and is often times mistaken for NATALIE ALYN LIND while others say she reminds them of PERIWINKLE from DISNEY FAIRIES. ||

Headcanons

 Peri used to upcycle old clothes from thrift stores, making her own new fashion from pieces of old clothing. 

She loves going to antique shops. She buys things to mend.

Some people would say she’s cold, but she’s just shy. 

She considers her sister one of her best friends. Even if she doesn’t say that all the time. 

When they were little kids, Peri was hesitant to go places without Tink. She liked having her and someone to hide behind, someone to do all the talking, someone to have that she could talk to. 

Peri has struggled a lot with anxiety, depression, and her self confidence, but doesn’t really talk about it to anyone. She doesn’t want to bring anyone down with her own problems. She doesn’t want to bring attention to herself.

Peri doesn’t remember where her nickname came from, she just knows people started calling her that.

A soft girl, will probably break under pressure.

If things broke around the house when they were younger, Peri would fix them without telling anyone. 

She doesn’t like attention.

Compliments confuse her.

Needs love and hugs.

She doesn’t know what type of engineer she wants to be yet.

She needs some good friends even if she won’t admit it.

Powers

Peri isn’t very opened about her frost powers. They make her nervous at times and she doesn’t want people to be upset or scared of her. She knows Tink is more showy with her powers, but Peri just isn’t. All of her close friends know, but she has asked that they don’t share that information. She does practice them sometimes, and if she’s in a good mood, she’ll use them for fun things as well. They’re just confusing and she doesn’t understand and she thinks that maybe she’d be less scared of them if she knew more about them.

Connections

Teresa “Tinker” Bell - Her twin sister. Peri loves Tink more than anything, though she does feel like she’s living in her shadow at times. Sometimes she worries that all of their friends only hang out with her because they’re friends with Tink. So it always makes her feel good whenever they want to specifically see her.

The Fairy Squad - Peri enjoys the company of all of them. She’s definitely bonded more with Missy and Rani than a lot of the others. Mostly because she enjoys their slightly mellower personalities. She loves hanging out with Fawn because she loves hearing about all the animals she’s helping out. She really doesn’t have a favorite or a least favorite of these friends. She even enjoys Vidia’s company, even though she doesn’t always tell Tink when they hang out.

Peter Pan - Peri’s pretty sure he only ever talks to her because she’s Tink’s sister. The same goes for the Lost Boys, but especially Peter. He and Tink are just so close there are times where it almost feels like things are awkward between the two of them for no reason.

Terence Dust - A very close friend. The two of them dated for a little while, which Peri always felt bad about and tried to keep secret from Tink. Things between them didn’t work out romantically, but they’re still extremely close and Peri likes to see the time that they were dating as a period of growth and self discovery for both of them.

Wanted Connections

Friends - Peri could always use more friends. She’s sort of shy and hard to get to come out of her shell, but once she does she can be a lot of fun. And she likes to bake, so you’ll always have snacks.

Ex - Someone Peri used to date. Things could’ve ended amicably or messily. They could still be friends or they could hate each other or there could be some unresolved feelings.

Crushes - This could either be someone Peri has a crush on or someone who’s crushing on Peri or it could be mutual. It could never go beyond anything more than infatuation, or maybe there’s actually a spark there.

Enemy of my Friend is my... - Peri knows there are a lot of people that Tink doesn’t get along with, but just because she doesn’t doesn’t mean that Peri feels the same. Maybe this is someone Tink can’t stand but befriends Peri. Or maybe it’s something more than that. Or maybe Peri meets them and finds out that Tink was right to feel the way she did.

“Hey Peri, you busy?” Terence asked, awkwardly shuffling a bit. “I just…umm…needed some time out. And I just wanted to see you because it’s been a while and I miss you?” He felt lame just hearing the way he sounded. Honestly, he did not understand why Peri dealt with him. She was a little more sane than Tink so it was odd that she dealt with everyone and their shit as much as she did. “It’s cool if you’re busy…”

“Hey,” she smiled, pleasantly surprised to see Terence. She almost asked if he was here to see Tink, but then he asked what she was up to. And she’d be lying if she said that didn’t feel good. “I’m not busy.” Her smile softens a bit, “I missed you, too, Terence. I promise I’m not busy. And you know that even if I was, I’d make time for you. How’re you doing? Anything new going on in your life?”

🌟 terence

Peri and Terence dated for a while a few years ago. There were several obvious reasons why that relationship ended, but they’re still super close.

Peri worries about Terence a lot. She just wants him to be happy and she hates seeing how he gets treated at home. But she never really just comes right out and tells him that she thinks he needs to leave home or any of the things that she’s thinking because she doesn’t want to upset him. 

He’s one of the people she cares for most in the world.

Peri makes him treats and always makes sure he’s eating breakfast. 

She likes to have movie nights with him and platonic cuddles. 

It always feels a little wrong but also pretty good whenever he comes to talk to her instead of Tink. She always feels a little better when people come around specifically for her, and since she just cares so much for Terence, she’s always so much happier when she finds out he stopped by specifically to see her and it wasn’t a case of ‘oh, well since tink’s not here, I guess you’ll do.’

Peri is pretty much an open book with Terence. Not only because she trusts him but because she wants him to know that it’s a safe place between the two of them and he can always tell her anything. 

Sometimes they watch sad movies so they can cry together and get all those tears out over something that’s not real life. Because crying from a movie still counts as crying, it just comes with less emotional vulnerability. 

Peri is definitely not a fighter, but she would fight someone for Terence.

“Come on, Tink, you know I won’t pass it on,” she said almost desperately. “And I think when people tell you to keep secrets, they know you’re going to tell your twin. So come on. Pleaseeee, I promise I won’t tell anyone you told me. So what’s the secret about? Is it one of our friends? Is it about a boy? Or a girl? I won’t stop pestering you until you tell me.”

🌟 Peri & Missy

Peri really enjoys hanging out with Missy, but worries sometimes when her mood is a little sour that she’ll bother Missy because of her powers. 

Peri will make cookies for Missy and will try to shape them to look like her turtle. they rarely turn out as planned.

She enjoys hanging out with Missy because she feels like she’s a much softer spoken soul than a lot of her friends and she enjoys the one on one talks with Missy because she feels she gets to see more of her personality.

(Other than Tink) Missy was the first one Peri felt comfortable sharing her powers with. She trusts Missy with secrets and more personal things.

“Oh, that was, um, that was very nice of you,” Peri said, “Or you might be exaggerating, i don’t know. But in case you weren’t, I’m glad I did call. I missed you. I just wanted to see how you’ve been. Anything new or exciting going on in your life? I feel like its been a while since we caught up.”

“ they say, “move on” but you know i won’t ”

“But sometimes you’ve gotta, Tink.” Peri said, putting her hand on her sister’s arm. “I know that moving on can be so hard sometimes. I know it can hurt more than a break up or someone leaving or anything like that. Because it’s one thing for someone to move on from you, but when you move on from them, it just feels more real; more final. And that’s scary sometimes, that vast unknown of feelings. But you’ve gotta do it sometimes. You have to take that leap of faith and just know that eventually you’ll land and things will work out the way they’re suppose to.” She took a small breath, offering her a smile. “I know it’s cheesy but there’s that old saying ‘if you love something set it free’ but it’s true. Let it go and then maybe someday it’ll come back to you. Or maybe a time will come where you don’t really need it to come back.” Peri knows she’s not the best at advice, and she doesn’t know if her sister is actually going to listen to her. But she has to at least try. “I know you’re too stubborn to just move on like it’s nothing, but every day you need to take one step farther back. Just inching yourself away until you’ve moved back onto your own path.”

the thing peter hated most was to be bored. any day he couldn’t think of a way to pass the time was a day wasted. at least in his mind and that was the worst way to spend time. it was from this struggle to make the day exciting that the boy found himself in the trees, climbing through the branches until he could reach the top. he was perched on a branch when opportunity came in the form of a person walking just below him. He hooked his legs around the branch and dropped his torso down just in the way of their path. “Hey!” he yelled, overenthusiastic and loud, hoping it would be enough to get an entertaining reaction.

“Shit!” Peri exclaimed, almost falling over, her face almost turning red from being embarrassed for being scared and because she didn’t usually curse. When she caught her breath and looked at him again, she let out a slight sigh. She knew him, of course, they’d hung out before but almost always with Tink. There was a slight part of her than wondered if he’d even realize that he knew her. It didn’t matter much to her, though. He knew Tink and she was definitely the more interesting of the two of them. “Peter, what are you doing? You can’t just do that to people. What if i was someone else? You probably would’ve got punched in the face.” She looked again. “How’d you get up there? Why are you up there?”

who reaches out to new neighbors - Missy probably? Or they go over together; Peri can get awkward around new people.

who remembers to buy healthy food - I feel like they both could remember. Peri probably got good at remembering because of Tink, so now it’s just a habit.

who remembers to buy junk food - Not technically junk food, but Peri likes to bake so she always makes sure to have ingredients and will always buy a bag of chocolate chips.

who fixes the oven when it breaks - I feel like they’re both smart enough to know that the right answer is to call Tink. Just so no one gets electrocuted or breaks it further.

who waters the plants/feeds their pet(s) - I feel like they both forget for a little too long but then remember and feel so bad about being like ten minutes late for giving them breakfast/morning water.

who wakes up earlier - Peri wakes up pretty early, but I can see them setting one alarm and getting up at the same time.

who makes the bed - Probably whoever gets up last. 

who makes the coffee - Peri doesn’t really drink coffee, but she’ll make tea. But she would also make coffee for Missy if that was what she liked.

who burns breakfast - Maybe Missy? Peri cooks a lot and is so cautious about it that she rarely burns food. 

how do they let each other know they’re leaving the house - Peri just says a quick bye and doesn’t really care if anyone knows she’s leaving or not. But since she knows Missy can worry, sometimes she’ll send her a text telling her that she left just so she doesn’t worry.

how do they greet each other when one of them gets home - Peri will do hugs because I feel like Missy probably likes hugs so she’s okay with that.

who brings home little gifts like flowers/chocolates more often - I think it depends, I can see both of them doing it. Maybe Peri because she likes going to antique stores so she’ll often bring home things that she’d think Missy would like.

who picks the movie for movie night - I think it depends on the mood they’re looking for. Missy probably is better at picking movies because Peri has like five movies she really likes and would just watch those on a loop forever if she could.

their favorite kind of movie to watch - probably a romcom that’s got a secret sad twist so they both end up crying.

who first suggests a pillow fort - I feel like Missy would if she saw Peri feeling a little down.

who builds the pillow fort - If she’s literally building it around Peri to cheer her up, then I’d say probably Missy, but if they’re just building one for fun they work together.

who tries to distract the other during the move - I feel like Missy would just because she probably has more to say than Peri does.

who falls asleep first - Peri. She crashes when it gets late like an old person.

who is big spoon/little spoon - Peri doesn’t mind either position; cuddling is always nice. Though when she is big spoon she worries a bit about accidentally covering Missy with frost.

“Clearly,” Peri teased lovingly, handing her sister an ice pack. “So... Have we learned that wearing a VR helmet and flying around the room to feel like you’re really on the roller coaster is a bad idea or am I going to have to buy those protective baby bumpers to put on any sharp corners?”

“Perrrrriiii,” Tink whined into her sister’s ear from her spot draped across her back. “I’m booooored. Come dance with me?” Logically Tink knew it was enough of a miracle that Peri had even shown up for the rave in the first place and that a part of her was pushing her luck asking her to dance too, but it was a party and the other Bell girl deserved to let loose a little too. “Dance with me! Dance with me!” @perijingles​

She had known Tink was there, but when she actually spoke it did startle her a bit and pull her out of her thoughts. “It’s a rave, T, how are you bored?” she giggled a bit. Peri looked out toward the crowded dance floor but before she could even hesitate, Tink was chanting in her ear. Peri laughed again. “Fine, fine, I’ll dance with you,” she said, moving out from under her, taking her hand, and twirling herself under Tink’s arm, just as a sort of leading off point to get her heart a little more into it before they made their way out to where people were doing almost any kind of dance you could imagine. “But I’m sure there are lots of other people here that’d be more fun to dance with.”

“okay,” tink called out, exiting her bedroom into the living room where peri was waiting and holding her arms out wide for her sister to inspect her outfit. “how do i look? is it date-y enough? i know angelica hates overalls, but these ones are cute right? and it sort of fits with the theme, so that’s gotta make it alright, right?” her words were coming out a mile a minute as she began to second guess her entire look. this was her second chance with angelica and tink wasn’t about to ruin it all by not dressing properly. @perijingles​

“You look great!” she smiled when she saw her sister. “You look plenty date-y. And overalls are cute, why does she hate them?” Peri wants to be happy for Tink, and she is happy for Tink. But she doesn’t want to see her hurt by Angelica again. “It really shouldn’t mater what you wear. It’s more about the person rather than the clothes. So, is this like, an official date? Are you guys going out now?”

“Dewey Duck… surely you’ve heard of me.” Dewey was leaning against a wall, very clearly striking out with a girl he had attempted to flirt with. “I have a youtube channel. I do lots of good stuff on it- oh, uh, bye.” He was clearly a little embarrassed when she walked away as he was talking, clearing his throat and taking a step back. His pride was a little wounded which is why he instantly lashed out a little bit at the closest person he saw. “Aw, come on. You scared her off. I was totally about to get her number. You ruined it.”

Peri made a face as she heard him attempting to keep some poor girl’s attention. But then when she moved away, his attention quickly turned to Peri. “I’m--” she almost started to apologize, then quickly changes her mind. “What did I do? I was just standing here. You’re the one who started talking about his YouTube channel... Who does that?” she shifted, adjusting the strap of her bag. She didn’t love being confrontational, but she also didn’t want this guy to think he could get away with being like this.

“That’s so nice,” Peri said with a smile. “I know whenever I’ve gone in to get a drink or something and they tell me it’s already paid for, it always makes me feel good for like the rest of the week. That was definitely appreciated,” she laughed a little. Taking a step back, Peri examined the tree, tilting her head a bit. “Yeah, that looks nice.” she nodded, grabbing another ornament from the box. “Honestly I love those sparkling ones. They’re some of my favorites. Especially the ones that almost look like they’re covered in snow and frost? I just think they’re pretty.”
