The biggest mistake of capitalism was letting managers believe that stuck-up ladies in their 50's would actually shop at another store after experiencing a tiny inconvenience because of how much of a hissy fit they worked themselves into about it in the moment. And also believing that somehow revenue from a single customer impacted their bottom line more than the job satisfaction of one of their own employees.
