Very awesome and telling how literally - and I do mean literally - every single post I've seen on all social media I'm on talking about some new feature on all platforms ever, not just the social media ones, are saying "they added this thing, didn't tell you about it and it's making your entire shit worse. It's usually an AI thing, but it might just be good old fashioned poor programming because apparently nobody actually knows how to code anymore, especially not the tech companies, they just think they do, and it's on by default, which they also failed to mention, so here's how to turn it off. I discovered this by accident or frantic searching in several different submenus before finding the right one btw." Nuke silicon valley rn I'm so serious.
Anyway here are all the ones I've been made aware of in the past two days alone.
Discord CEO Jason Citron, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella from the bottom of my heart PLEASE go fuck yourselves and stop shoving this bullshit down our throats without stopping to ask if we want it and/or check if it even fucking works
Am I grasping at straws to think that these “big-brained geniuses” in silicon valley have, in fact, untaught themselves the skills they may once have had, because they’ve become that dependent on AI themselves?
Bro, let the robot do the coding, the website design, the moderation work, the software updates, the handling of ban appeals, literally all of it! We’re so advanced now, we can just have this perfect machine do our jobs for us! …What now-? Server crashed-? Faulty AI coding-? Uhh, sure. I’ll get on it. All I need to do is… uhhhhh…
[ChatGPT, how do I fix these programming bugs?]
Mark Mothersbaugh and Co. were fucking right about that whole de-evolution thing. The ‘smart’ people reddit aggressively worships have taught themselves to rely on the robot crutches they never needed until they forget how to walk. And we’re following suit.
We’re all DEVO.
me a neurodivergent nonbinary pagan who literally has two Pagan and one Viking goddesses as patrons: [inaudible screams at THAT movie]
Sitting here thinking about that exact scene, dude. It comes back and bitchslaps me sometimes. It’s one of those endings that gets more and more horrific each time you watch it. I’ve had the occasional nightmare of it.
I just cannot imagine unwittingly crawling into a foul smelling passage where you can barely even stand on your hands and knees, and only discovering it’s some giant thing’s digestive crop when a pair of jaws shut behind you and buckle you up for the slowest and most painful death you could think of. The two actors wonderfully sold the terror of it, and I almost wonder if simply being in that set immersed in the scene inspired enough feelings of panic to make it as authentic as it was.
Awful and very sad way for the protagonists to go. Especially having gotten invested in their characters.

Welcome Home Springtime Update Moodboard
A House Divided? Rough Thoughts on Frank, Barnaby and the Buggle
The latest update has presented us with this absolute fucking Creacher™️ and has framed it in a rather sinister light. It comes out right as Julie's horrible feelings reach their peak and seems to taunt us. But what even is this thing?
If we take the Buggle at face value, it's a chimera of a dog and a bug. Its gormless face, big paws and stubby tail evoke Barnaby, yet the rest of its body looks like Frank's beloved, colorful bugs. It's a mixture of the two, a bug-beagle – a Buggle.
But Frank and Barnaby aren't on great terms. The tension between them has been simmering in the background, often played for humor as Barnaby eggs Frank on and tries to make him lose his temper. And it's very funny Muppets-type stuff, two guys getting heated in a laughable way.
But it really is kind of nasty, isn't it? Barnaby outright implied that Frank should leave town during the phone call, and Frank later told Julie that he would have liked to "knock his block off." These two aren't friendly in their jibes at one another. Barnaby does not respect Frank at all and thinks he's fun to toy with, and Frank considers Barnaby a loutish bully who gets away with far too much. Barnaby constantly takes things too far, and Frank has made several borderline bigoted remarks about dogs as a whole. These guys really do hate each other and only keep things in check for the sake of their neighbors.
These two are also both sympathetic people. Barnaby, despite being a bully, is gentle to Wally and is a calming presence in his life, almost a therapy dog of sorts. Frank is dutiful in keeping up with the welfare of his neighbors and is shown to have been an amazing influence in Julie's life in particular, grounding her through an uncertain time when she was new in town. Neither of these people are "bad," despite bringing out the bad in each other.
So what does the Buggle signify? Maybe it's too simplistic an answer, but I think it's hinting at a culmination of the conflict between Frank and Barnaby. That tension keeps building, and I feel like it's only a matter of time before Frank loses his cool and does something he can't take back.
As a messy final note: I notice there's a lot of talk about burial imagery with Frank, and that one Game Theory video posits Wally will be burying him or something. I'm not sure about that, though. I think there's a lot more active animosity between Frank and Barnaby, and I think, if someone's to be buried, one or both members of this conflict will be involved.

Vive la Résistance
Please help me list practical tasks and concrete solutions to fight authoritarian rule.
I'll start.
Go to town hall meetings and mobile offices (check your congressperson's website for times and locations).
In addition to emailing your representatives, make phone calls. Phone calls have a bigger impact. Call your senators. Call every day if possible.
Vote in local elections. Local politicians have a big impact on your community, and can help influence bigger political matters.
Practice self-care. You personally don't need to fight every battle. Choose one area to focus on, and do it.
thats what the whole show is about dumbass. breaking=bad
no bc this video has me in TEARS it looks like a sketch or a bit or a fucking tiktok but no that woman is legitimately fighting for her life while this bitch records some socmed segment for a ski resort

The particular segment of medical racism that says ‘Black people are built tougher’ is a great example of why ‘positive’ stereotypes don’t exist.
