Charlie is back by the way, but he is incredibly stressed and emotional at the moment. As far as we can tell, he went into a state of semi-dormancy and it wasn’t good for him. Doc is trying his best to help but he was also panicked and stressed during the period Charlie was missing.

He’d prefer to be referred to as Charles/Charlie instead of Grian right now, not sure why but that’s not our business. I’m not sure if he’ll come back to running this account for a long while. We haven’t even been able to watch any of their counterparts videos because attempting to causes too much distress.

When Grian goes nonverbal, he likes to retreat to one of his builds and place some blocks until he feels ready to see people again. His boyfriends help him get there without anyone intercepting him or interrupting his building.

Since Doc hates bullies, as does everyone else on the server, he probably doesn't take kindly to finding out that Grian was bullied and even borderline abused by his "friends" in high school. Suddenly, Grian's nervous energy and insecurities whenever one of the other hermits is angry makes a little too much sense.

What does Doc do about it? Does he try to comfort and protect Grian, or seek revenge?

Grian has a lot of issues with getting physical in a relationship because of past experiences so he avoids it best he can, because of this the hermits believe he's totally innocent but none of them think twice about making comments because hey, he's just a little innocent, nothing bad. Wels was surprisingly the first to actually preposition him and was confused when grian began to panic, instantly throwing his plans out the window to comfort grian, assuring him that no one is going to hurt him

Grian isn’t sure he believes him at first. Wels’ normally comforting hugs feel like a veiled threat after he asked Grian to do... that. But when his hands never wander from Grian’s back he starts to relax a little, and shakily apologizes. Wels assures him that he can say no to him for any reason, or no reason at all, and Wels won’t be angry.

can we stop mocking people who hissed at others/bared their teeth as a warning in their childhood years? it’s not funny to call them freaks. i did that. because nothing else was EVER. respected. i could tell them to stop and they wouldn’t, literally only hissing/trying to bite got ANY freedom.

and guess what! i’m autistic. i didn’t learn the ‘proper’ ways to respond to things until much later. and a lot of kids who do that are neurodivergent and have NEVER been given respect. you mocking them isn’t gonna help shit all.

next time you think of it as cringey, maybe take a step back and think about what you’ve done to earn a reaction like that. because reactions like that are used to express fear and discomfort in animals. and you probably haven’t listened to ANY of the signs before that.
