NGC 602 A young star cluster known as NGC 602 lies at the edge of the Small Magellanic Cloud. The hot young stars give off intense radiation that has swept dust and gas to the outer edges, spurring star formation in the surrounding nebula N90.  This image from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Telescope was created to track the magnetic activity young stars in the region known as the “Wing” of the SMC.
