Understandably

Heavy hearts fall and the world seems to be crashing

down, hard to the ground it’s hard to be found

I misunderstood how you needed me

I Misunderstood how you had used me

I was not enough for you to get you pleasing

to make you happy, turn it all around

I had honestly thought you needed me

that your heart was in it, you wanted me

Bruises don’t show when they’re on the inside

My heart was given to someone I loved

to only be abused and mistreated

You struck and beat me where my heart resides

it is understandable why I loved

Unpromising Day

Life can get hectic,

Adulting can get tough.

We forget about life,

Working like clockwork.

Run life in frantic,

Moments can be so rough.

Thoughts hitting us in rife,

Too close to berserk. 

One day it will surely pay 

Someday it will be of worth

Struggle will turn to success.

Push through each unpromising day 

Take time to enjoy the mirth

Tame the brain do not regress.

Skin & Bones

I could never see What was always in front of me But I found you Lying in between my bedsheets

I don’t mind if we stay in tonight I don’t mind if we take our time

I just want you to know that I’m just a man, I’m skin and bones And I can’t make it, I can’t make it On my own

Every word that came thru these teeth Trying to bring you closer and closer to me I’ve got these dead end dreams To haunt me when I sleep

That Time

Do you remember that time,

That time you said you loved me,

That time you brushed your fingers

across my pale white skin.

Do you remember that time,

That time you held my hand,

That time we kissed in the sand

while the roaring waves rolled by.

Do you remember that time,

That time you said you loved me,

That time you said forever

forever ever after.

Do you remember that time,

That time you said goodbye,

That time you left me broken

broken and alone, I don’t think you do.

In My Life

There once was a time in my life

when everything I ever knew

became a million tiny pieces 

scattered all across the floor.

Then there was a time in my life

when something I found became new

things came together from the pieces

creating something much more.

For Things Unable

Why wait for the storm to come?

Why keep quiet from the ocean’s tide?

Why weep for the finally done?

Why hurt because of those who’ve lied?

It’s the questions that deepen us,

It’s the answers that open our eyes,

It’s the hurt that changes us,

It’s the healing that softens goodbyes.

Don’t fret for things unable,

Don’t attempt to calm the storm

Don’t push the ocean’s tide,

Don’t chance those who’ve lied.

The questions will soon be answered,

The hurt you feel will soon be healed,

Flutters

The flutters that make me feel as if my Insides will erupt with joy and unknown Wonder. What has become of this? What may Lie ahead? We will never know alone.

Half Past the Midnight Hour

Driving at the strike of half past

the midnight hour, windows down fast

through the cool summer breeze, so briskly 

rushing through my hair left unfixely

At the beach with the waves beating harsh

upon the shore, with the wet sand marsh 

between my pale white toes, smell of salt 

water that turns the sand to mush at fault

One last seagull to sing his goodnight

to leave this place, no longer bright.

He'll be back sometime when feelings 

are right, but for now he's gone till then

Wrecking Ball

Hurt in the past from  the ones who 

loved me, linked by hearts, once was two,

The heart that hurts cause its torn to

pieces, never thought to be put as a whole again

Shield had been broken by a wrecking ball

hit so hard, falling instantly to

the ground; hitting the concrete like

a boulder shattering to dust

Shaking and crying, never felt this

before, raining and thundering

from inside my covers, can't 

hide the inside bursting to show

It's been awhile now and i'm just fine 

I've battled through it, it just took time

there's no replacing the love that we had

but I sure found better, isn't that sad?

Healthier and greater than anything you were

treating me like you should have done,

I'm no angel, and I don't deserve this

but this love is amazing, never to let go

Rough Patched Ground

I would talk, see, smell, feel you whenever

Was with no intent we met in that place,

Smiled whenever I had seen your face

You always said we would last forever

Meeting in front of the sunset ocean,

Kissing you in the lightened midnight sand

All I wanted to do was hold your hand, 

You had pulled me in with your love potion

Hitting my head onto the rough patched ground

Forever with no fairytale ending

Never to find that god damn given truth

Heart is past the point of ever mending

just keep wishing you would feel this same ruth

Lonely

When I tell you that I am lonely,

It does not mean I don’t love you

It only mean I miss you terribly, 

Wishing you were closer to me

My bed seems so much colder

With you not anywhere in it

My thoughts seem so untamed 

With you not anywhere in sight

I wonder why you are here,

Still wanting to be near me

I wonder why you stay,

Still wanting to be with me

I get Goosebumps on my skin,

every time you hold me tight

My heart skips a beat each time,

Every time you say my name

When I tell you that I am lonely,

It does not mean I don’t love you

It only means I miss you terribly,

Lock and Key

I go to sleep each night, wondering if

You love me entirely, my heart goes

Out of my body, running off the cliff

Away from here, wonder where the wind blows

  Run away from the terror that holds you,

Jump into the arms that will keep you safe.

I will be your shelter, held up by glue.

Stay by my side, you’ll never be a waif

  I will hold you like a life sized stuffed bear,

Keep you warm throughout the cold winter nights,

Be your love for as long as you’ll want me

  During the long nights ill prove that I care

Stay together through all the Fights or frights

I’ll be your lock as long as you’re my key

Head From Caving In

Sometimes I just want to scream out louder,

Like no one understands how I feel inside,

But I try to keep my head on the upside

Failing to, in my head screaming louder

  I keep these thoughts inside of this completely full to the brim head

Boiling, to the point of almost spilling out my guts

Erupting, with no stop to these feelings putting me in ruts

Each night they might go away when I put my head to the pillow of my bed

  There is one person who can change these feeling I feel

Who can keep my filled head from caving in,

They take away my worries and my sins,

Making me feel the comfort of this pillow of steel

  More like a shield from attacking prey

When I am with them, worries go astray

Wish to be with them each and every day

Months gone by, loving the way you say …

You say you love me with all your heart

Really thinking that I don’t have a clue,

From the moment that I had first met you

I believe; I loved you from the start

Marriage

Marriage may not mean true love

Because true love never does die

Love once gained may never remove

Couple together that dont ever lie

It may expand and it may grow

Changing itself but not to vanish

Saying I love you, just so you know

Making you smile, looks like a garnish

Distance between us making it hard

Fonder the heart being far from you

Loving you deeper words like a card

Poems I write you just may be a clue

Whats Fair

You did tear my heart out a year ago

Now you come so sorry into my life

But the words you speak cut me like a knife

Because you say you understand how low

I sunk so deep in a black hole so gone

Gone away from reality I knew

Knew our life together all that felt new

New to a change you took out with a bomb

I stand up from the ruble, show you scars

Dusting the dirt right off of my shoulder

Our lives are different from here to there

------

My life is better, brighter than the stars

Go ahead and throw another boulder

You broke my heart so ill show you whats fair

or should i act oh so kind?

I want to feel good,

good about myself

If you think i should be,

then try it all yourself

Acceptance is needed,

understanding just the same,

You really wanna know me

please don't try to change me

Live life to the fullest

act it out how you feel

Don't live it by the script
