already got one person tryna argue that mainly poor ppl become american soldiers (statistically untrue and propaganda to make you feel bad about questioning the us military) but yall rlly gotta learn to grow some back bone in general bc even if it were a true statement we should not normalize under any circumstances the act of going to another country, destabilizing it, bombing it, murdering civilians, stealing their resources, raping their women, and trafficking their children, bc it isnt fucking normal, and those are things that happen constantly under the american war machine

like irdgaf if every single person in the us military was a poor little meow meow that cant afford anything, the privilege of being able 2 join a fascist regime and absolute destroy some place across the ocean in exchange for “american glory” and a few benefits is selfish no matter how you cut it. “we were just following orders” didnt work for the nazis so obviously it will never work for any other fascist military group…..if you have any respect for your fellow man u would take jail time to avoid a draft, if you cared about humanity you would go homeless before happily grabbing a gun and murdering a family for oil, i dont know how to explain empathy to you people because none of this is complicated
