They opened the door to their room, noticing Neo sitting on the bed, as well as the new machine. 

“New toy?” They asked, taking off their hat and coat and setting it on the dresser. They moved over to the bed and sat next to her, watching Neo finish off the ice cream.

Looking at the machine, they figured out it was an ice cream machine. Not too shocking that Neo would get one of those, she did love sweets. But the question wasn’t so much that, more what she wanted to do with it. Neo rarely acquired new toys for their intended purpose. Like her knitting needles that rarely touched yarn, it was probably for a more diabolical use than the original intention.

She smiles and nods enthusiastically. It’s fun to have a new toy! She deserves nice things! And yes, of course she was planning on using it for unconventional, terrible things, but for now she was enjoying an ice cream cone. She takes another lick of it and holds it out, offering Roman a taste. Strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate swirl. She takes her aesthetic very seriously.

Roman threw their coat off to the side when they returned from work, letting out something between a groan and a sigh. It’d been a long, long day per usual and all they really wanted was to lean back and smoke.

The redhead pulled out their lighter and a cigar, cutting off the end with a knife. Holding the cigar in their mouth, they walked upstairs to the room they stayed in while working in the warehouse. Neo should’ve been back by now, provided nothing distracted her.

Neo was absolutely back by now, lounging on the bed with an ice cream cone. The source of it is a new toy she’s picked up (and for once, it’s a new toy that don’t involve a blade). Somehow, she’s managed to get a commercial soft serve machine from god knows where and has set it up in their shared bedroom.

She sits cross legged on the bed and waits for Roman to return, licking the ice cream impatiently. She hasn’t been back long but she’s already restless and bored, something that rarely bodes well for those near her. When they do finally come through the door, she perks up a bit and smiles at him. Finally!
