Playing in a dnd 5e one-shot tonight, who do I play?

Bael Xiloscient, a 65-year old, 8′7″ Firbolg, ancestral guardians barbarian covered head-to-toe in tattoos depicting his tribe after they were etched onto his skin in a ritualistic sacrifice who just wants to protect his friends and is naive beyond belief. He also likes trying new things, meeting new people and seeing people around him thrive. ORRRRR Flax, a 21-year old, 5′2″ changeling, swashbuckler rogue that found purchase as a sailor for many years until their existence as a shapeshifter was discovered and thus, they were rejected from their crew. They just want to find a place where they can figure out who they want to be (most literal sense possible).
