@petrichormemory liked for a starter !
“New Years get sort of hard to count when you’re traveling so often.”
It was strange for him to think about– he and Amy had been traveling for so long now. Important dates, holidays– they all tended to blend together. But usually they could fight for the time around Christmas, almost as if it really were a proper winter break.
“How long do you think it’s been, really?”
She used to keep track in their book. Holidays were important. Somewhere along the line she’d forgot a few. Flipping through the pages in the worn, blue binding she muttered to herself.
“We went to Brian’s party six, no eight months ago? But then we had ta come back for that garden social.” Amy huffed and slammed the book shut. “Does it really matter? We’re here now. We should enjoy it. How are you feeling? In or out?”
mother’s day. ❤️

“And it’s all right. Our lives won’t run the same. They can’t.“
amelia pond 🌻 got my poncho, got my boys…
This year Thor has left a rather understated looking gift-bag for Amy. Inside is a set of traditional Asgardian wristwarmers in soft blue, A small (enchanted) oak-tree cutting ready for planting and a raven-feather quill. At the bottom is a star-map of the universe (vague, of course, but enough to communicate the idea), with a note scrawled on top. ‘The benefit of Stormbreaker is having the Bifrost at my disposal. I cannot take you through time, but anywhere in the universe is yours.
Opening the bag with a curious stare, she laughed when she saw the contents. The wristwarmers went on immediately. Amy set the tree by her side, giving it a little pat on the leaves. She ran her fingers along the edge of the feather quill, grinning at how soft it felt. When she got to the map, she simply stared. Her smile softened and she blushed, blinking back a few tears from her eyes.
“Anywhere in the universe,” she said softly, tracing over his writing. “Anywhere sounds perfect, so long as you’re there. Happy Christmas, sunshine.”
A small gift-wrapped box is left on her bedside table. Inside is a locket in the shape of Loki's sigil, wrapped inside a note: "For when you need a disguise - this locket has three uses until I re-enchant it again. Twist one of the inner mechanisms and concentrate hard on your appearance. The magic will do the rest. Seasons Greetings, Amelia."
She reads the note twice, a soft smile growing with each word. It took a special sort of knowledge to be able to locate her at all, never mind leave a gift where she could find it. Of course he would remember.
“Until you enchant it again, hmm? Now there’s an invitation if I’ve ever heard one.” she laughed, tucking the locket away for safekeeping. “Safe holidays to you too, where ever you are.”
After everything we’ve been through, Doctor. Everything. You can’t just drop me off at my house and say goodbye like we’ve shared a cab. And what’s the alternative?
Not everyone can feel things as deeply as you. Most people, their feelings are … bland, tasteless. They’ll never understand what it’s like to read a poem and feel almost like they’re flying, or to see a bleeding fish and feel grief that shatters their heart…

Lokes you (un)lucky boy, you’ve had me writing you for 2 years now and zero regrets. Aside from that I’d love to still poke my old main again at some point oops >.> Thank you to everyone who’s stuck with me, joined me, written with me or enjoyed reading/reblogging this Loki’s content.
So today I’m going to do a really random thing. I’ve just come back from a concert of Holst’s The Planets and it got me really inspired putting Asgardian gods and such to the different themes, and I thought why not throw muses under the categories too? As with last blogiversary I’m going to tag my current partners as a promo for all you lovely people to go check out. I’ve likely forgotten one or two newer partners who haven’t been added to my list yet. If any one of you doesn’t wish to be on here, just privately IM me and I’ll edit the post.
This is just a bit of fun for my silly brain so please don’t take it to heart whatever category I lob your blogs under. Holst didn’t cover every personality or concept. Think of it like being assigned a wedding table and don’t throw food at me.
Mars, The Bringer of War
Technically there are at least 5 Norse gods who get linked to war, which mythologically doesn’t count Sif, and this made me think of all of Asgard going to war in general. Thor is so powerful he feels very waresque, but his counterpart numbers among one of the later planets I wanted for him. Characters particularly associated with battle, anger, violence or who are from places ravaged by war have been lovingly settled here.

Venus, The Bringer of Peace
Holst seems to have focused on the peace aspect as a reflection of war but we normally associate Venus with love, sex, fertility. Any muse I associate with bringing peace to others or relating especially to healing, lust, love or fertility have been put here. Once again, not including Thor despite his fertility god status.

Mercury, The Winged Messenger
God of commerce, travel, luck, trickery, thieves and communication among so much else. This one does suit Tony Stark very well, but I’ve designated him another spot for later explained reasons. This also especially should suit Loki, but I’ve given him another section, too. Those muses I have associated with travelling, luck, spying, investigation, cheekiness or tricksiness get to sit here.

Jupiter, The Bringer of Jollity
Since Jupiter is claimed as god of the sky and thunder, here is where Thor gets to reside. Being a piece of joy and happiness, it’s also where I have put some more innocent muses who are the light of their surroundings. Jupiter is also very heavily steeped in religious and patriotic sentiment (particularly with the I Vow To Thee My Country hymn) which is why Steve Rogers has been put here rather than in the War section, and also shares the space with Daredevil.

Saturn, The Bringer of Old Age
Ok before all my Tonys start screaming HOW DARE, you all know how much I love him so here’s why he’s in this category. Saturn is being noted as the ‘god of generations’ thing but he’s also all about being god of wealth, plenty and liberation. I wanted this to reflect Tony’s generosity and his legacy, and to contrast with the fact I kind of associate this piece with Thanos (not just because randomly there’s a lovely Thanos mun called Saturn XD) when I listen to it. He brings the end and the terrible balance, and Tony is the counter to that. I also see this as something representing immortality, so Grandmaster got popped here too.

Uranus, The Magician
Loki’s gonna kill me now. The actual god Uranus doesn’t fit Loki in the slightest. He’s the official god of the sky according to wiki, which is unhelpful considering we already gave that title to Jupiter. Why Loki gets this category however is the piece itself. A magician, an illusionist, Holst’s piece feels very Loki-like. It’s showy, egotistical, sneaky, loud, quiet, sinister, joyful and all round tricksy. I don’t need to promo myself, but I do have a lovely Loki I can put here. Honestly I should snaffle more duplicates again someday because double trouble is always fun.
@hipstcrviking
Neptune, The Mystic
For obvious reasons title-wise, here’s where all my Stranges be at. Neptune is a sea god otherwise so he’s not aesthetically suited to Stephen, but the sound of the piece works very well for him imo along with the mystic aspect.
@burnedpower (Strange) @drstrangesorcerersupreme @hippocraticmagic @rahasyamay @strangcrdoctor
An extra special love on my bestie, @araedi, for coming with me to this fandom back in 2017 and for making it the most amazing experience. It’s super hard being a Thor among all the love for Loki so I urge anyone in need of more Thor (and frankly who doesn’t?) to leap on this amazing mun and interpretation of our lovable god of thunder. After everything he’s been through MCU and comic-wise just give him the world ok.
And there you have it. There are a ton of amazing blogs I’ve not tagged that I’m following and either intend to play with in the future or I simply love from afar. If I’m following you, know that you’re awesome and I wish you many happy days. If I’m not following you, I still wish you well even if time and/or other reasons keep us apart!

Once she had taken away the device, Loki allowed himself a deeper breath, impressed at its work. He chuckled as she made to get in the bed and scooted to one side before lying down himself.
“How inappropriate.”
Loki wrapped an arm over Amy’s waist once she was settled, unable to voice how much this meant to have physical comfort after so long. His thoughts inevitably returned to more unpleasant matters.
“This thing you’ve done.. does it mean I cannot interfere with the fight against Thanos?”
Rolling her eyes at his commentary, Amy tucks in next to him neatly, laying a hand lightly on his chest. She can imagine more than feel his heart pulsing steadily. He was alive. While she could debate for ages if it was the right thing to do, it was a good mark in her books.
“I don’t know,” she answered honestly, worrying at her bottom lip with her teeth. “Playing with timelines is somethin I’ve been tryin not to do. But there’s always a chance -”
She turned her head to get a good look at his face. If this went wrong she would only have memories and regret. But if it went right, then what? Amy smiled at him.
“If there’s a way, I’ll find it. I broke all my rules bringin you back. What’s one more?”
“Don’t watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.”
