Colourful venation.

I’d already set up the venation code so that it’s easy to swap renderers. This one just iterates over all of the vein nodes and draws a bunch of circles, remembering the colour of each node as it goes.

This version also implements “anastomses,” the places where the veins reconnect and form loops. Another update was made to get rid of live lock states when auxin hormone sources were placed on either side of a vein and it didn’t know where to place the next vein node.

This will need some optimization before it can scale.

I’ve been feeling pretty productive lately so here’s another piece for the day.

I kinda feel bad about this one because it uses a palette that somebody had initially suggested for a different character. But I love Mega Man X, repeat, I loooove Mega Man X, and this palette seemed really good for him when somebody else brought it up after the fact. I’ve saved the original pick though and I’ll pick a different palette for the character myself.

To avoid such things in the future, I’ve created an image that crosses out those palettes that I’ve already used so you guys/gals don’t have figure this out by yourselves. You can find it right here.

And please, do keep those suggestions coming! :)
