Excited that my birthday present to myself came in! New West Coast Swing shoes! #WCS #Dance #ballroomshoes
Thank you Block Family!
Before I say anything, I would like to thank my Phamily. We've had a difficult past couple months, but we're survivors. We're not in this world to crumble, we thrive and I couldn't ask for a better group to call my family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
To my Blockheads, I say with the sincere deepest of gratitude: THANK YOU. I couldn't single out any of you. You all have touched my life somehow. You have graced me with laughter, tears, love, support and an abundance of sistership unlike any other fandom. May the Lord continue to bless you.
Joey: In the purest of words: I'm thankful for YOU. We hit walls in life. We can break them down with the right people around us and power of our inner strength. Thank you for spectacular sense of humor which I consider my light in the dark. I don't have a magical connection to you. What I do have is an incessant love for you. Thank you, Joe.
Donnie: Thank you. You know who inspired my morning WOWs? YOU! If we begin everyday with the right mindset, we can believe in the better beyond. Even when things don't go our way. Thank you for your constant love to the block family, and thank you for being so special to us. #LoveEternal
Jordan: You're a master of confidence. As someone who struggled with confidence for years, I thank you for boosting mine and allowing me to embrace who I am. Thanks to you, I'm not afraid to show the world who God made me. THANK YOU.
Danny: It's more than just living healthy. It's about taking care of our souls. If we don't believe in ourselves and take care of ourselves, there's nothing progressing us. Thank you for challenging us each day to grow. Not to drastically change to someone we aren't, but to thrive on the things that make us who we are. With the greatest of love, I thank you and I know Betty's nothing but proud of you.
Jon: You're funny, you're sometimes outrageous, you're adventurous. Overall, you're genuinely sincere. Thank you for not taking the Block family and its experiences for granted. We all love you, and I thank YOU for being a courageous man. Guts don't happen overnight. You are a true inspiration. Thank you.
To everyone a part of this great community we call "The Block, thank for making being a member in this brother and sisterhood an honor.
Be Aware of The World - Thanks for the share @joeymcintyre
First, let me say if you've never seen Louis's rant he did with Conan awhile back about how much the world complains, you need to see that video. It's 100% true. What he says in this particular video is also 100%. The smart phone consumes today's society.
I confess, I'm on my phone a lot. I have friends near and far. I like to be able to contact them to see how their day's going. However, I have a really big irritation when it comes to the smart phone.
You schedule a meeting with someone & they spend half the time on the phone. I like to post tweets and sometimes FB updates I'm hanging out with someone. I don't let it take away from me spending time with them though. Someone gives up their time for you. Nothing aggravates me more than someone who's face is stuck in their phone. If I wanted a convo with a phone, I'd look at m own.
And what's with giving little kids smart phones? I understand kids needing a phone to contact family for rides and safety reasons too. But does a 9 year old really need an iPhone? Louis CK is so right about how online bullying is so much easier than physical bullying. Give a kid a smart phone, and it's just a rabbit hole that's asking for trouble - possibly even bullying.
Morale of the story is - I'm not tell you how to raise your kids. That's your prerogative. But if I invite you to dinner, and I see you texting, FBing, or tweeting on it 95% of the time know you might be receiving less dinner invites in the future.

Never Underestimate #LoveEternal
I waited for my turn to see the doctor. The room was filled with other patients. I filled out my paperwork, and sat quietly clutching on to my person. Something just felt iffy.
A gentleman then asked around the order of attended patients. He waited on his turn like it was urgent. He rushed to the seat next to the door right behind me, and started putting his hood on.
Doctor called him in. He very shortly made his exit out. We didn't see the doctor for 5 minutes. Which everyone knew something was up, because he rapidly calls, "NEXT," after every patient.
The doctor sees one more patient afterwards. After the elderly lady leaves. He turns to the man next to me and whispers, "call 911." We all look confused, he repeats it again, "call 911."
The man begins to dial. The doctor begins swearing like a sailor. He locks the door and clutches his chest. He whispers to us all the he had just been held at gun point.
We all begin pulling out our phones. We hear a knock on the door, and my first thought was our robber came back for more. Luckily it was just another woman waiting to see the doc.
The cops came, and I'm hoping nothing else happened after that. After my consultation, I dashed out with my dad as fast as I could.
First off, thank you to the BHs who sent their notes of concern. It means a lot to know y'all care. I love y'all. In life we'll have those "airplane down" moments where we think something tragic's going to happen so we tell everyone we love them. I thought today was going to be that moment, and if I had to, I would've told my family, my best friend, and my BHs I love each and everyone of you. You guys make me smile, have my back, and just couldn't be a better fandom family.
Joey Mac: If today was really my last day on earth, I would've wanted you to know what kind of impact you made on it. You made me the strong, ambitious, family-loving, and overall optimistic person. Why did I survive today? Because love crushes hate. Even if you don't know who I am, I know you love me because I'm in this family.
Donnie: How could I ever forget a person like you? You tell everyone to live each day like it's their last. Well, shit... today I was pretty fuckin' close. And that's not something to joke about. I thought that bastid came back for us all. To lighten the mood though, one of the thoughts in my head at the time was, "WHERE THE FUCK IS DANNY REAGAN?" ;) Thanks for being such a mover in my life. You give love and love was by my side today.
Danny: You know how important life is. Your laugh, your smile, your drive and focus to achieve goals makes every day worth living. If today was my last day, you'd be the person who taught me my health matters. Not just physically but spiritually too. You're a great and spectacular spirit.
Jon: Your life-changing trips are something I want to do before I die. Sad thing is if today was my last, I didn't have many of those. You taught me EVERYDAY is journey. I might not get to go to places like India, but your kindness, your spirit of adventure is something I'll take with me from now on.
Jordan: Because you're such a charmer, people tend to forget your a sensitive person. You know when I was in complete shock and fear, the lyrics of "Never Alone" were going on in my head. You might've written the song about being bullied, but trust me... it's such a savior in moments of despair. Don't ever be afraid to show more of your sensitive nature. It's a beautiful part of you.
Thanks to everyone for checkin in on me. I'm at home a happy camper. Love Eternal was on my side. I saw it with my own eyes, Love Conquers All.

Stay The Same #BHs
Today, Jordan took to his twitter sending his condolences to the loss of Colleen Ritzer, a late teacher in his hometown Boston.
My heart hurts so much, but something else bothered me. It seemed like a lot of other #BHs were frustrated too. Jordan tried to be reasonable and use his platform to raise awareness. He wanted the message of love over hate to spread. Needless to say it was a touchy subject. Yet #BHs continuously spammed JK for follows.
There's nothing wrong with requesting JK for a follow, but there's a time and place for it. Jordan really wanted to bring the issue to the forefront. Not to dramatize it, but to make sure the message of love was being heard. Why bombard him with follow requests? If you don't get your follow today you will another. It's like that saying "feel the room." It's better not to stir the pot rather than add more to the drama stew.
Something similar happened yesterday when Joey tweeted some rather philosophical/poetic tweets. It was kind of a more heightened episode since Joe rarely follows people. Did I spam Joe before? I did. But did that get me my follow? No. I had to be creative. I want ever Joe girl to get her moment. But why spoil it? Don't you want it to be something special? Something expected? Don't give up. Everything has it's purpose.
To wrap things up, I just want to say we all came into this family way before social media was around. There's a line in one of NKOTB's unreleased tracks: "save the drama for another day." Honestly BHs. The reason why I'm still in this fandom versus others to begin with is we're not the type to give other fan girls death threats. The guys bust their asses off for us. Why spoil that by fighting each other? Save the drama for another day. Each one of us is special. There's no number one fan. We all are. NK follow or not, we still love each other. At least I like to think so. So turn those frowns upside down, and remember... #LoveEternal.

A Very Much Needed Steph Rant
I consider myself a Blockhead ambassador. Let me clear something up before I'm accused of being hypocritical later on. I'm not stating this to sound superior in the fan base. Any good Blockhead worth her salt knows we all love and consider each other equal sisters. I'm stating this because I want to be a positive influence.
Today as I was "lurking" twitter, I came across someone who basically gloated and was throwing around her "status" of how important she was in this particular fan base. This is exactly why I left said fan base.
To me when you support someone, you don't get invested into it because you want to be the star. You pour your heart and energy into backing someone up, because they touched your life in a way not a lot of people can understand. That sort of gloating and proclaiming one's importance is the exact thing that leads to the ugly monster of bullying.
Being a Blockhead was never about "becoming friends" with NKOTB for me. I love NKOTB, because it's very rare to find people like them in the industry. 5 very different personalities who share the same quality of being extremely down to earth. We Blockheads have such a strong sisterhood, because they showed us love unites us, not tears us apart. We don't try to "one up" each other. We're happy for every special experience every BH partakes in.
Donnie Wahlberg states in his Twitter bio that he is human. I find that to be such a humbling fact. Even with everything he does, he wants people to remember that he's human too. He makes mistakes and he grows from them. He's one of the most humble souls I've seen in a long time.
It's ok to feel special. When you worked hard loving your group it's ok to take the recognition as it comes in. But there's a very fine difference between earning credit and flat out being arrogant. Morale of the story, no one likes a egomaniac.
If I learned anything from being a Blockhead it's "Love conquers all. It crushes hate. It crushes hate every time." - Joe Mac

Why being a BH improved My life
Dear NKOTB & BHs, Growing up as a family girl, it only made sense I would find some incredible people to call my family. Becoming a BH changed my life for good by leaps & bounds.
Donnie:You showed me what made a real leader. It takes a lot of courage, love, & know to be a magnificent leader. You have all three & so much more. Don’t ever stop loving & don’t ever stop dreaming!
Jon: Thank you for showing me how much of an adventure life is. I’ve seen loved ones lose their lives to cancer. The way you celebrate it makes me cherish each day I've been given. Life's a gift, and thanks to you I intend on making it count. :)
Jordan: JK! We focus a lot on your sexiness. can you blame us? :) One thing I never forget is how you told us about writing "Never Alone." It's on my empowerment playlist for a reason. That song got me through some times. There's a girl's bathroom in of the lecture halls at my university. Written all over it is empowering words to remind girls how special they are. Of course one of the things I wrote on there: You guessed it, "never alone."
Thank you for making me feel like it's not just a fan/artist bond that we share. It's deeper. We're truly brothers and sisters. Thank you, JK. I'll never be alone again.
Danny: Thank you so much for being a spectacular ambassador for healthy living!! Because of you, there's been so many changes. You and my sister inspired me to visit the gym more. I drastically cut down on my soda intake. I fell in love with Zumba and I danced more than I ever have. My sister has such a passion for fitness and both you and her inspired me so much!! Danny, Betty is looking down on so proud of you! Your daughters are so lucky to have you!
Joey: Yep, there are tears! Joe... How did you change my life? Well, do have an eternity to listen? haha Honestly, Joe... I wouldn't have been a BH in the first place if it wasn't for you. You're 100% real. NO BS. I love how you admit you have your own issues and neuroses. It takes a real man to be that honest. It's sheer evidence that your "lost weekend" made you stronger. I accept you for everything you are. I know you do the same. You wouldn't "love (you) some Steph" if you didn't, right? Thank you for just being you. My love for you is entirely endless. "Everything in my life is a little bit clearer and the difference is you." :)
BHs you're the sisterhood that molded my heart into what it is today. My Phamily made me who I am, but you helped me grow. You made me what to put love into everything I do. All of who I am is because of #LoveEternal. Thank you for being such a supportive group.
To NKOTB and BHs, I'm no longer just a "cray" fan JoeGirl. I am and forever will be your Blockhead sister: Steph From The Block.
With all my love,
Steph
#BHs Spread The #LoveEternal
I can't get Rebecca Sedwick's story out of my head. A 12 year old girl driven to suicide as a result of bullying. My heart can't imagine what pain her family and loved ones are going through. All I could think of was how fortunate I am to have my Phamily. Stories like these inspire me to bring awareness what the Blockheads represent.
I was very lucky the bullying I experienced wasn't nearly as devastating as the suffering Rebecca received. However, no one should go through bullying.
There's two stories I want to share from my life. There was a boy who consistently teased me when I was in eighth grade. To me it was always a bickering. My naive eyes didn't see it as bullying. One day that changed. Since he always teased me, I decided I had the right to dish a little back. I told him, "Hey, guess who made the play and who didn't." The next thing I know, I feel his hands around my neck. That event never left my mind.
My junior year a young gentleman who I went to high school took his own life. I wasn't extremely close with him, but I remember him fondly. He was a man with an open heart and listening ears when it felt like I didn't have a companion. As life goes, he and I lost touch after high school. I so regret not making a better effort to be his friend. All I can remember is how sweet he was. I will always choose to remember him that way.
When cruise booking time came around, I got nervous. I've never really seen angst or bullying around the #BlockFamily. That doesn't mean it never existed. Because of my outspoken nature I did get a little backlash during cruise booking. It became a debate of "the cruisers vs. non-cruisers." Why? I've never known Blockheads to compete with one another. Regardless if Blockeads cruise or not should not stir up controversy.
I credit the way I am a lot to the boys. I do, but the real credit goes to my Phamily. Sometimes, I get frustrated with their "over-involement" in my life. Then, I think what if they didn't care? How dramatically differently would that change things?
I know this has become a mantra for a lot of BHs, but there's a reason why I made it into a sign on my office door. "Love conquers all. It crushes hate. It crushes hate every time." - Joe McIntyre. Yes, I'm a crazy Joe girl. Do I love the other guys less? HELL NAH! They brought me into a family unlike any other. A family filled with supportive women who constantly surprise with their spectacular abundance of generosity. No matter if they're a Jordan, Donnie, Danny, Jon, or Joey girl they love another the same. We have love that cannot be measured: LoveEternal. So, in the spirit of Ddub pledges, I made one for us BHs. Please join me and pledge to live and spread: LoveEternal.
I, do hereby pledge, to spend every day of my life with LoveEternal. I will leave every piece of drama, worry, and fear behind me. I will cherish the bond I have with each Blockhead sister. Whether she is 2 or 2,000 miles away from me I will treat her with the exact same love and respect. I will not anything petty cause any harm between us. I will do my best to let love conquer all. Most importantly, I will continue to dream big and support my sisters always. Together there's nothing we can't do.
LoveEternal,
Steph
Why I'm Even More Thankful For #BHs & NKOTB
Today, I sat there listening in absolute awes. How could someone I know have such a heartbreaking back-story? A life that involved drugs, homelessness and a dysfunctional family. Then, my co-worker told me a 12-year-old girl committed suicide due to cyber bullying.
My Phamily means everything to me. We don’t always see eye-to-eye. Throughout all the highs and lows, they gave me everything positive in my life.
BHs, thank you for welcoming me into the family. There’s a reason why I’m “annoyingly upbeat.” I’m surrounded by a group of strong and loving women whom I’m fortunate to call my sisters.
Thank you for not turning support into a competition. We collectively love them with an everlasting love that cannot be measured.
Donnie, you what I’m grateful about you? Your infinite ability to brighten someone’s day. They could be feeling like a pile of crap. Seeing a simple tweet from you turns their whole day around 360 degrees. Thank you for that golden heart of yours.
Jordan, not only are beautiful on the outside, you’re even more beautiful on the inside. I remember when a Latina young lady asked you about including “thicker” Bloquitas in your videos. You had a genuinely excited response of yes. Your eyes sparkled when you talked about including your fans in your work. Not many musicians will go that distance.
Jon: JONNY! How can I ever thank you? The fact you advocate for the Trevor project melts my heart. I was a victim of bullying. You are so courageous. The media often distorts the truth. No one knows that more than you. Thank you for staying true to yourself and not letting others change you.
Danny: I talk endlessly about your passion for healthy living. You’re also a wonderful father. My dad’s a strong figure in my life. It’s great to see you raising your beautiful daughters in a positive environment. Betty raised a beautiful son, and that son became a phenomenal father.
Joe: I’m going to need a tissue box next to me every time I talk about you. ;) You know how wedding vows have, “till death do us part?” For me it’s “Till death or Joey McIntyre” do us part. ;) You are so real. You’re not afraid to admit that you had your “lost weekend.” We all have bumps in the road. It’s how we recover from them that makes or breaks us. Today you are such a beautiful brother, father, son, and husband. Thank you for being a wonderful friend. I believe you when you say you love me. It’s a family love. A love I will forever cherish.
Thank you BHs and NKOTB. May your days be filled with positivity, love, and gratitude. May you always be thankful you’re in the #BlockFamily.
Steph
