Maybe this is a weird question, but what candy do you think Art would want the most if he went Trick-or-Treating?
That's a really interesting question. I don't think Art is picky when it comes to food, I doubt he has any real taboos. But one thing he definitely can't stand is boredom or predictability. So I imagine he'd love popping candy, something spicy, or intensely sour. Honestly, I get the feeling he enjoys candy that's gone stale or even started to mold. I can't explain why, it's just a hunch. I think what he wants from candy is sensation. So if he found a razor blade inside, he'd probably be delighted. I can totally see him eating sweets while casually dipping them in his victims' blood.
The people who dismiss the Terrifier films as nothing but torture porn are seriously doing a disservice to David Howard Thornton’s acting as Art the Clown. Man is so good at physical acting and making faces that he doesn’t even need to speak to command attention. His acting is what I believe absolutely makes the series, and what I believe separates it from the typical slasher film. Also Sienna and Vicky are incredible characters for different reasons, some of the best female characters in horror
Yes, and yes again. You might not like the genre or the film as a whole, but calling it just bloody and tasteless? Absolutely not. That’s exactly what drew me in. David’s performance, I’m so grateful he’s the one playing Art. With every season, he keeps surprising me with his ability to speak to the audience without saying a single word. And his dynamic with Sienna and Vicky? Unforgettable. They’re intense, aggressive, emotionally charged, far from the cliché of a killer and his victims.
