"Indeed we could..." His visible eye narrowed, tail swaying side to side. He was surveying the hedgehog, wondering how risky the fight would actually be. The ruby thrummed on his chest, sending a slight pinching sensation, like a stitch in the side. He hated it, but he was in no condition to fight. Not til he got the wretched gem out.

"But I fear I have much more important matters to attend to." It was a half truth, so at least he was getting better on that front.
