Greetings! I'm Indie (he/him), a ranger and foster keeper specializing in ghost and dark type pokemon. I always aspire to learn more about them, as they are often misunderstood among the trainers and when they are, things sometimes turn out dangerous.

My pokemon:

Licorice - male noivern. a foster fail who i took in after his previous owner couldn't manage his needs. excellently battle-trained, though not by me ;P

Sargent - male duosion. my partner, and the source of constant worried amusement as he acts like a distressed victorian child. likes to mess with other pokemon

Cookie - male houndoom. very shy, but also extremaly energetic even for a houndoom. adopted after previous owner couldn't provide enough enrichment.

Caramel - male houndoom. the second clingiest creature you'll ever meet. very food motivated, would do anything for treats. the tip of his left horn is chopped off

Chip - female houndoom. the oldest and calmest of the pack, with a dominant attitude. hard to train and even harder to fool. has a scar on her nose

Buka - male phantump. my one and only, the clingiest creature you'll ever meet (one-upping Caramel, becuse unlike him he's actually allowed in the house). takes comfort in contact with people and is very social. enjoys cuddles

welcome shadow the lycanroc to our family! big thanks to @pokemonpetfinder for giving me the opportunity to meet this clever little guy. he's an umbreon hybrid, something which i've learned is called a bloodmoon midnight lycanroc, and he's gorgeous!

here he is, meeting the supervisor and local pack leader (chip the houndoom) safely through the fence. he is still a little anxious, and it will take a few weeks before i let them meet without the fence, but i can sense a beautiful friendship forming here.

Shadow is a 2 year old Bloodmoon Umbreon mix that's been with us since he was a rockruff, but he never got adopted. He's pretty shy, and it can take him a while to warm up to people. He would do well in a house with another pokemon (he'll be fine once he gets to know them) or by himself. He sheds a lot btw, so he shouldn't be adopted if you have allergies. Because he's Midnight Lycanroc, he's nocturnal, so don't be surprised if you hear howling at 3am. He likes toys, but he's hard to play fetch with bcuz he'll just chew on it or stand their holding it while wagging his tail. friend of mine has a rapidash who lies down and falls asleep any time she pulls out his tack to ride him

...rapidash regularly lie down to sleep? while most of their rest is done standing, they actually need a little bit of deep sleep every day, which they have to lie down for. they usually do this in short bursts a couple of times a day.

in any case, you can tell that rapidash is not actually asleep here, because his flames are too intense. rapidash's flames decrease in size by about 80% while in deep sleep to help prevent predators from discovering them. he does this because it gets a rise out of her.

besides, rapidash are also very inteligent pokemon and like to mess with humans sometimes :DD they don't only lay down to sleep, too, sometimes they do that as a part of play or just when they're feeling really relaxed!

also, this one looks really chilled out. wish i could be him fr. go back to pretending to sleep my dude go xPP

also also, i didn't know their flame got smaller during the deep sleep, thats such a cool fact!

Even better I have a series of pictures in motion! Its old so sorry about the poor video quality but here we go, for context I had gotten this jar off her twice before deciding to film the third before releasing her from her glassen prison hah.

[Included is a video of a small larvesta with a large jam jar stuck on its head, it has stuck its head in after the sweet smell and is now wiggling around trying to get it off, since its little legs cant quite reach. A male voice can be heard "Sol why? You know its empty, we've already done this twice, there's nothing in it" , *a mechanical hand reaches down and helps get the jar off and throws it in the nearby bin* "Now no more getting in the garbage little lady, you hear me?" *the larvesta looks at the camera, then at the bin, then the camera, then jumps on the bin knocking it over, the footage blurs as a loud NO! can be heard before the video ends.]

lucy was actually put up for adoption shortly after he evolved, since his size was the main reason his previous trainer couldn't take care of him, so when i agreed to foster him, he was already a noivern

oh, big thanks to your kind soul! the berries are super tasty! so much so i saved some to maybe make a pie later. the berry juice made the little bastards look like murder suspects hehe.

while cookie and caramel weren't big fans of the flavour, chip tried to stick her nose in the jar as soon as i opened it. buka... yeah, i think he wasn't quite sure what to do with the berries, but sargent liked them at least... oh, and lucy, i've never seen him so excited over a food before lmao. might have to look for them in stores as training treats for him. thank you again! i hope i can someday repay the favour

Bubbles is a young Popplio. We put her in a bucket because her pool had to be drained because some kid put a Tynamo in there, which could be dangerous for the water types, but she's fine and she's back in her pool. Bubbles is a timid but curious Popplio who enjoys playing with her toys and sleeping. She can get a bit nervous meeting new pokemon, but she can warm up to them easily. Not a picky eater and will eat many kinds of fish and berries. She has to have a mini lake or a pool since she's a Popplio (bathtubs don't count). hello, i would like to adopt Bubbles! i live in a big house outside the town, in a very quiet place. i have a big garden with a outdoor pool that i've recently rennovated, and i'm currently looking for 'mon that would benefit of it and serve as good companion for some of my more shy pokemon. i live with my platonic friend and pokemon, sometimes fostering the more "needy" kinds haha. all my pokemon are professionally trained, but on the ocassion of one of them getting overstimulated, each 'mon has their own spot where they can rest alone if they need to.

personally, i've always wanted to adopt a popplio and know a lot of people who have experience raising them to turn to for help and tips. i don't have a battling team and would rather value her only as a companion

o-oh! that's something new! hello and nice to meet you! see, i'm a human myself, so my opinion might be seen as subjective, but...

i think my favourite thing about humans is that we are naturally kind. when a human is unkind, this means something must've happened to make them behave this way. but when someone is kind, you can be sure that they are staying true to their nature, no matter what happened in their life before. when travelling alone, i found that there are more people willing to help a lost hitchiker than you'd think there are. i like to think that kindness is a part of pokemon nature as well.

i also like the pies my dad used to make me on my birthday back when i still lived with him. Sarge loves them even more than i do, i hope we can visit him again someday.
