“Merde,” Clara cussed as the infant sprinted away from her, because she had simply dropped her stuffed bunny, so as a good and responsible mother, she ran after her, only sighing when she stopped, steps becoming faster as she noticed Lily talking to a stranger and she grabbed her by the hand and lowered down to her level. “Don’t do this, okay? Don’t run from mommy.” Picking up her daughter from the ground, she looked over at the person. “I’m sorry, I hope she was not disturbing you?”
It was surprising how in the world of law and criminal justice the circle ran very small. Even with their respective divisions it wasn’t unusual to cross paths with one another. In Phoenix’s case this was no different, making a name for himself in the special victims unit in Manhattan as well as establishing a high-profile career as an attorney in Montreal gave him brownie points in the social world of law. He wasn’t alarmed by the familiar face but rather the child who came along with it. It was weirdly shocking to see his colleagues’ personal lives unfold especially when it involved them being a parent. He couldn’t fathom how people found time for it, possibly because he wanted them to tell him how to make time for it. ❝ Not at all, I was just looking for you. I assumed she was yours since you two look exactly alike. ❞ He said warmly looking at the small child then back up at her mother. ❝ You know, if you’re unable to attend today’s court hearing you’re more than welcome to reschedule. The judge is fair and I don’t have a problem with it at all. ❞
Oscar at the London X Men: Apocalypse premiere
Lucy kept the closed box on her hand as she listened to him speak, before quickly slipping it inside her purse and keeping the other presents for the twins on a chair by her side. “You can tell Lucas that, because sometimes I feel as though we are two hard headed people living under the same roof, but I still have no complaints, we’re learning to cave when it comes to each other.” She grinned, her tone was playful but some of her words held truth behind them. It was a learning, every day, all damn day and she loved every little bit of it. “Oh God, no, don’t worry and when I used to live in New York, I much preferred eating in those little stands than in restaurants, after a while of living in such company, I kind of started repulsing it, some of these fancy restaurants are great, but they don’t really have anything on smaller ones such as this one.” The blonde assured him with a small nod of her head, taking the menu into her hands so she could browse the food and take a look at the delicious pictures.
It took his voice again to stop her from wondering whether or not she wanted the chocolate cake again, or if it was better to start with something salty and then moving on to something sweet, but that would have to be decided later, at that moment Phoenix was about to give her something nice to look at. “Be my guest, they are still mushy balls of cute, so be sure to hold their back and their head.”
❝ You’re from New York? ❞ He asked quickly while his eyes beamed up in her direction. As a New Yorker himself it was pleasing to find others who came from the city. He’d been there just recently but the busy streets and vibrant culture were all something he’d miss, no matter how long he left it behind. ❝ Some restaurants around her are repulsive. The people more so than the food. ❞ He joked. Phoenix was a high profile lawyer and made a name for himself in the city of Montreal as well as in other regions of Canada and U.S --- and surely his bank account didn’t beg to differ. However one would never be able to tell of his status when he was outside of the courtroom. He was always told to be humble and never take the things around him for granted. He carried those words and followed them religiously; all in all he was a good man with a tender heart and many lawyers lacked those two traits.
Phoenix huffed quietly as his eyes wandered to the two babies sitting calmly in their respective strollers. He began to regret asking to do as such mainly because of the anxiety and paranoia of it all. He ballsed up and stood on his feet before crouching over to gently take one of the twins into his arms. He decided to pick up the baby boy first --- he’d already been somewhat familiar with the child since Lucas brought him around the most. ❝ Hey little guy. ❞ He said sweetly while lifting the child from the stroller. Phoenix did as Lucy instructed him and it was like a second nature to him. He was always good around children which made the pressure of having kids of his own even worse. He gently bounced the baby and smiled at his gummy grin, giggles and smiles filled the room only causing Phoenix’s heart to grow an inch or two bigger. ❝ I’m your Uncle Phoenix. Every time your mommy and daddy say no, you come to me okay? ❞ He found himself looking up at Lucy once more. ❝ He’s definitely Lucas kid, I’ll tell you that. ❞
Sidana caught a breath between their lungs, calming themselves down just as the man had gestured them to do so. The ends of her lips curled into a smile, ❝ Thanks for the honesty, it’s reassuring. ❞ They replied before chuckling softly. The shade of his reddened cheeks matched theirs, he was a looker Sid would admit that. ❝ Yes! Actually I’m headed over there for the open mic night. ❞ Their eyes looked down to the guitar case at his feet before looking back up at him once more — ❝ I’d love to be escorted by such a handsome man. ❞ Sid widened their eyes. ❝ I-I-I didn’t mean to say that out loud. I just — it just came out. ❞
Ebony orbs widened at her compliment, his grin grew wider --- more genuine so to speak. He noticed the hue of her cheeks flourish into a tint of red. That alone caused a chuckle to erupt. ❝ No, no it’s okay. I needed that ego boost. The boys down at the office were getting a little too comfortable without my big brass ego there. ❞ Phoenix reached down to grab the handle of his guitar case, he stepped forward. ❝ My name is Phoenix by the way. ❞ As he walked towards the bookstore he turned his head to catch a glance of the brunette once more. ❝ Where are you from originally? ❞
“Right, because you obviously just proved that you don’t care about me, so why does it matter if I am ‘shitting on everyone’ or not?” In response to him, Emily couldn’t help but laugh. “You know what, you have no fucking room to talk, Phoenix. You go fucking running the moment a girl decided to break up with you! That’s how you decided to deal with your pain, and now you’re going to judge me for how I turned my back just like you did? It’s funny how that works. I am there for you when you get your heart broken, but now when the tables have turned, you tell me it’s just one less person to worry about? God, shows how expendable this friendship was.” Sure, she wasn’t being the nicest at the beginning of their conversation, but she would’ve never said what he had said to her. “I think I’ll just go now. I’ll tell my brother you’re back, too. — Oh, that’s right.. I can’t.. because he’s dead. Happened about two weeks ago, actually. But you wouldn’t know that, huh? Because where were you when it happened?” Shaking her head, Emily then kicked off her heels and began walking away. “Glad you’re back, Phoenix.”
❝ Listen sweetheart, not everyone’s gonna be kind to you. It’s just a warning, it’s always sad seeing faces like yours getting fucked up because you pulled on someone’s thread. ❞ He huffed letting his eyes roll once more. He caught a breath in between his lungs before exhaling it loudly, his fingers ran through his curly hair and he stepped back for just a moment. ❝ You don’t know shit, so don’t run your mouth like you do. I didn’t run, I went back home and spent time with the people who matter with me most. I handled my problems like an adult and maybe you can learn something from that too. ❞ It was true, Phoenix did go back to New York to reunite with his aunt and her wife because a) he knew she was lonely after he daughter and left her and obviously, b) the Darlene situation. However he spent more time subbing as a D.A in his previous prescient instead of doing some actual healing --- he didn’t have regrets though, it was nice returning to his roots. ❝ Well god-fucking-forbid that I decide to put myself first for once. That for one fucking time I decide it’s a good idea to actually get some fucking help instead of running on two hours of sleep and ignoring the actual problem. How the fuck did you expect me to help and support you when I couldn’t even find a reason to get up in the morning anymore? ❞ He asked now the air in his lungs were vacant --- he nearly choked. But he swallowed and held his chin high; even if Phoenix felt bad (which he did) he wasn’t going to submit to being treated like shit. He dealt with that before and he’d rather not go down that path once more. As Emily turned her heels and walked off, Phoenix took one step forward. He wasn’t going to follow her. ❝ People die. ❞ He responded with a hint of a snarl. ❝ --- Because that’s what people do. ❞ He had his fair share of loosing loved ones and he’s learned to grow from the experiences rather than having them eat him alive. ❝ I’m sure your brother would be proud. So-fucking-proud that after he died you’re slaughtering his name and the reputation you had. He’d be so fucking proud that his sister wasn’t strong enough to accept his death, move on, and get better from it. ❞ He took another step forward, anger rushing through his veins though, somehow he could make sense of what he was going to say. ❝ If I was him, I’d be ashamed that my sister is going around acting hard because she can’t confront shit. ❞ His hands slid into his pockets. ❝ It was nice seeing you too, princess.❞

Oscar Isaac at the ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Press Conference at the Lanesborough Hotel on May 7, 2016 in London, England.
In the very few months Sidana had moved into Montreal they’d done next-to-nothing to explore it. All they knew was how to get from home to work and vice versa. Sidana was curious to explore her new surroundings given that they’d never been in this part of Canada before but work was overbearing and traveling alone wasn’t exactly the safest thing. ❝ Excuse me. ❞ Sidana gently nudged the shoulder of the person standing closest to them. ❝ If you could please tell me where the nearest bookstore is I’d forever be grateful. ❞ They shot them a wide grin, eyes sparkled – Sidana truly was charming as they were beautiful. ❝ I’m new and lost and kind of scared. Plus you don’t look like an ax-murder so please, I’d really appreciate it. ❞
With the nudge of his shoulder, Phoenix turned around and met his eyes with the woman rambling on. He gave her a weak grin and opened up his palms to slow her down a bit. ❝ I can 10/10 confirm that I’m not an ax-murder. I’d be too scared to do that, honestly. ❞ He chuckled softly. Phoenix slid his hands into his pockets and allowed his shoulders to shrug. He hoped that maybe his cheeks didn’t flush into a bright shade of red. Charming women were a guilty weakness of his. ❝ Dead Poet Bookstore, right? Yeah that’s just a few blocks down from here. ❞ He looked at the guitar case down by his feet. ❝ I was heading over there now to play a show. I wouldn’t mind walking with you -- if that’s okay? ❞

Kenny: That would be pretty awesome. I'd get to wear a sex costume too.
Kenny: Will do. I was trying to reach a friend at the clinic actually.
Phoenix: I hope you know that I'm kinkshaming you right now.
Phoenix: Okay lets say you don't get to the clinic in time and actually get cat powers??? Would you become a vigilante?? Like what are you plans after that??
“No, you d–” Lucy didn’t even have the opportunity to finish her sentence before Phoenix had opened the box and shown her the bangles. Rose gold was her favorite, it was the color of most jewelry she worn, including the engagement ring Lucas had given her a while before they actually got married. The blonde felt as tough she didn’t even have the right to think how much they had cost, or even say anything if she hadn’t liked them. “They’re beautiful, Phoenix, I don’t— thank you.” Her smile grew wider. The blonde was quite aware that he was friends with Lucas, in fact, she didn’t quite know if she could ever understand the friendship the two of them had, which didn’t mean she didn’t like it. It was always nice to meet someone outside of the political circle. “You know? I would have forgiven you with much less, you shouldn’t have. I’ll only accept it because my mother always said that it was not graceful to decline people’s presents.” The last part was clearly teasing. “I’m sure the twins will like whatever you have for them, too.”
She sat down on the chair, thanking him right after. “Oh no, you don’t have to. They can’t handle themselves on a sitting position just yet,” it was strange for her that so many children her children’s age were more fully developed, but she had to constantly remind herself they came two whole months earlier than they should. She mentioned for him to seat and grabbed a menu on her side. “We split, I must insist after you’ve showered us with gifts. Besides, with this pregnancy I have been terribly tired, or terribly hungry and right now I’m on the terribly hungry side and you must have picked one of my favorite restaurants.”
A smug grin developed on the ends of his lips. He was pleased with himself that he was able to bring joy to Lucy and her twins. It filled his heart up so much that he smiled in what felt like forever. ❝ It was my pleasure. ❞ He replied with a smile still attached to his face. ❝ Ah, that seems only fair and I don’t think you’re the type of woman I should argue with. ❞ He teased while grabbing a menu for himself. ❝ Is it really? I was afraid it wasn’t up your standards. ❞ It wasn’t as extravagant as he assumed where Lucy and her family ate but the food, the food was amazing. Phoenix folded the menu, ❝ Sorry, I didn’t mean to imply that you’re one of those high class snobs. ❞ Poor choice of words, Phoenix.
Phoenix cleared his throat and his sight gazed over to the two twin children sitting calmly in their strollers. He quietly sighed, part of him always wanted kids he even talked about naming them with Darlene all those months ago. He was beginning to realize that the idea of having kids was far out of reach. He wasn’t getting any younger and he sure as hell didn’t want to have a kid at fifty. He smiled, sadly this time. ❝ Hey Lucy --- ❞ He started, ❝ Do you mind if I hold one of ‘em? ❞
While returning home wasn’t an issue for Kennedy. The fact that they would be temporarily moving back in with their parents once they’ve been discharged from the hospital. A tight bandage was wrapped around their abdomen just as someone knocked on the door. Ken looked up as they pulled down their shirt. “—Didn’t expect to see you here.”
Life was hectic but Phoenix liked it to be that way --- and in a sense things were really gearing up and getting back into shape. He was in routine once more, especially in his work force and he was driven to get shit done for once. He had picked up a case file, something he rarely did for local police and detective units but he was aware the system was very short on crown attorneys. The door opened his his eyes lifted from his phone he placed the object back into his coat pocket. Brown hues grew at the sight of the bandage wrapped tightly around their waist, he sighed as a mix of embarrassment and guilt flooded over him. ❝ My sincerest apologizes Officer Leon, I was told to come here to pick up a case file and my intentions weren’t to disturb you, especially in the state that you’re in. ❞ His eyes grew weary. ❝ If I knew I just would’ve brought a bouquet and been on my way.❞

Kenny: So I got attacked by a cat... it wasn't a stray cat but do you think I still need to get a rabies shot?
Phoenix: You'll probably develop super human cat powers like Selina Kyle did.
Phoenix: .... you might wanna get that checked out like asap
‘ I came across a video and it was said that the world was running out of coffee. That got me really worried because it’s the only drug that I would fight for. Although, I can’t really blame anyone, because farmers deserve a higher compensation considering their job is just as complicated, but businesses make their labor work cheap. Their best resolve is to leave and work in the cities, maybe if employees were treated right then we wouldn’t have having this problem. The rapid rise of coffee shops aren’t helping either. In short, I can’t live without coffee. ’
❝ That totally reminds me of the 50s when banana’s were infected with this vicious disease and all bananas we’re doomed. But this scientist genetically modified the banana and sterilized it. Since then we’ve just been cloning the same banana. There was a banana apocalypse and we barely hear it which, I’m totally fine with because I hate bananas, and I don’t give a fuck if I’m low on potassium, I’m never eating a banana. --- So yeah, there might be a coffee armageddon but i’m sure science will come through once again. What’s with coffee anyway, it’s just bean water if you really think about it. Just kidding I drink like, twelve cups a day. ❞
“I’m thinkin’ about getin’ a dog. At least to have some sort of company at home. It’s just deciding on the breed that’s the struggle.”
❝ all the dogs are beautiful, amazing, creatures that humans are not worth of. breed doesn’t matter, friend. ❞
