The outside (Parliament Square) of Trinity College/Coláiste na Tríonóide- Dublin.

It is the oldest Irish university. Founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth Ist the pupils had been Anglophone-protestants for a very long time whereas the Irish-speakers/Catholics had their own univeristy.

It is famous for its well-known pupils (Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett, Johnathan Swift, Bram Stoker, Edmund Burke; Leo Varadkhar) and for his library which was the one used in Harry Potter. Besides  there is the Book of Kells a world-famous illuminated manuscript of the Bible is kept in the museum

 El Alhambra (from arabic أحمر “red”) is one of the jewels of Islamic architecture. It was built in the 9th and carried the marks of the numerous dynasties (muslim and non-muslim) who ruled over Spain. 

The 3st photos are an example of Nasrid architecture the last muslim dynasty who ruled over Spain. The nasrid architecture is one of the great arab styles with the mudejar and the ommeyad. It features gardens, fountains, and watercourses, walls richly decorated with arabic words.

There are many tales about the Alhambra which have been written down by Washington Irving (yeah the auhor of Sleepy Hollow)

Place des Jacobins before/after the gay pride of Lyon (17/06/2017)

The fountain exists since 1885 and pictures 4 artists from Lyon : Philibert Delorme (who built the castle of Tuileries)  Guillaume Coustou, Gérard Audran and Hippolyte Flandrin.

The 22nd Gay Pride of Lyon has attracted  12 000 persons. There was a polemic about the road : the organizators wanted the cortege to pass by St-Jean a neighbourhood on the other side of the Saone infected by alt-right but the mayor disagreed.

Temple Bar is one of the most famous neighboorhoods of Dublin where you can find a lot of bars.

This is paella a traditional dish in Spain. You have various versions of it : with ou without chorizo/lobster/meat  for example.  The main ingredient is arroz bomba (a special kind of rice) with saffron But the Valencians are considered to be the specialists of paella. Here you have a paella valenciana with rabbit, arroz bomba, broad bean, chicken and bean as the main ingredients.

This paella was for 5. Indeed we were lucky because in the restaurant we were you had to command it  in advance but they had done too much paella so... It was very good.

The restaurant is Els Pins in Estivella (Valencia). If you can go there you won’t be disappointed. It is not at all a trap for tourists
