India's gay prince opens palace to the LGBT community

A gay Indian prince has opened up his 15-acre palace grounds to vulnerable LGBT people and is said to be constructing more buildings to house visitors. Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil, who is the son and probable heir of the Maharaja of Rajpipla in Gujarat in western India, will run the centre with his organisation The Lakshya Trust. The royal, who was ostracised by his family after coming out publically in 2006, started the community based organisation to support gay men and educate people about the prevention of HIV/Aids.

“I want to give people social and financial empowerment, so eventually people who want to come out won’t be affected. They will have their own social security system. It won’t make a difference if they are disinherited.”

Hi! I realize that the channel is not about politics, but with what is going on is hard to neglect it. As the neo-nazi got hold of a frog as their symbol, could we use one animal that preys on frogs as ours? [or, if we don't want to recall the "preying", an animal that is hostile to frogs?]

Sure, this channel isn’t about politics explicitly but it IS about education and defense: defending human and environmental rights through teaching, and acts of appreciation. Projecting natural analogies (like “Drain The Swamp”) to some of the horrifying and compromising actions taken by leaders in the U.S. government is insulting to the complexities of the natural world around us. 

They will never take frogs from us. And yeah I’m tired of “drain the swamp” rhetoric - swamps are incredible ecosystems that provide valuable nutrients for many organisms. Bring on the swamps. 

I mean, if you really want to play that game, an anti-frog symbol could be the epidemic chytrid fungus that is destroying and endangering amphibian populations worldwide, but a.) that’s more sad than anything, and b.) likely does not a make for a very intimidating logo
