felicity's eyes look like they'll turn brown soon. most babies are born blue-eyed, but only 1/5th of the american population has blue eyes. most turn brown, and they're usually the ones that are dark blue when they're babies. it's not actually possible to have blue eyes if both of your genetic parents have dark eyes because blue eyes are a recessive gene!

I mean, it is possible to have blue eyes if both parents have brown .. it is recessive so if both parents have a dominate brown and recessive blue gene, both parents will present with brown eyes but could possibly pass on that recessive blue gene. All it takes is both parents giving that recessive gene to the same child. (I’ll get on a mobile in a minute where I have a nifty little drawing I made about this exact subject from an earlier conversation)

That being said, it is true that most babies are born with blue eyes that eventually turn. So her eyes could turn brown. But damn, I hope they don’t.

I was almost a year old when mine changed from blue to hazel. My mom was convinced they were staying blue because I was so old lol
