Sometimes you just need to take a step back and think about what it is that’s really important to you at the end of the day. Is it worrying about not having replied to most of the messages in your inbox, or maybe just taking the time to write to one lovely person? Is it coming back to the same thought again and again, that you never get to see your friends anymore, that everybody seems to have gone away to live their own lives, or is it sitting down and finally writing a letter to your best friend? Sometimes you just need to stay in bed and not attend the uni course you have been worrying about all week — not because it will solve that problem, but because it gives you time to calm down, regain energy, and take care of the little things. Those that are important at the time, not altogether. Sometimes you just need to remember to not always view your life as a whole, because you will never be able to stop remembering things you forgot to take care of (at some point you will have to let them go). Pay attention to today, to the people who are important to you, to the hour that makes your soul happy. Sometimes, you only have to do what really matters. Only then you will have a clear head to take care of the other things, one at a time.
