I don’t talk about it too often, but I’ve been very, very close to committing suicide before. Fortunately I’m in a much better place now, but over the course of my life I’ve attempted suicide three times.

One of the things that helped me when I was recovering was talking to people who had also made attempts or come very close to doing so. It’s very hard for someone who’s never been there to relate, not due to any fault of theirs, it’s just too far outside the experiences of most people for there to be much common ground talking about it.

If any of my followers, or anyone else who sees this, ever need someone to talk to, please reach out to me. I’ve been there. I know what it’s like. And I don’t want anyone else to ever have to feel as alone and helpless as I did back then.
