People comparing new and old tgwdlm is all fun and games but I need the people to understand that while Ted’s resurrection in the new America’s Great Again is in fact a creepier way to go and fits the tone really well, in the og Ted simply suffers considerably more- a fact that appeals to me greatly, as a large Ted stan
Wasn’t really thinking of the implications of the reprise being a loop until rewatching the first macnamara scene with the what if tomorrow comes leitmotif in the background
Is it just me or does it kind of feel like macnamara is at the very least … aware of the events of Black Friday?
When npmd became available for licensing my dream to play Linda Monroe in a local Black Friday reignited tenfold and not gonna lie watching Will Branner’s Black Friday video has reminded me (again) how much my soul needs Black Friday to be licensable

Best miraculous episode top 5 at least my goodness (recency bias might be getting me I can’t tell yet)
Everyone had character motivations that. 👏 MADE SENSE 👏
And reacted in ways that👏 MADE SENSE AND WAS IN CHARACTER👏
Seriously tho I really feel like they didn’t nuke anyone’s IQ for the sake of plot in this one
And I didn’t like the heartfixer design at first (I was psyched for some princess justice fanart level design but that’s ok) but it’s since grown on me- I like her little weird purse/yoyo thing
Something I appreciate about the new episode is that Marinette now accepts that SHE’S the one not ready for Adrien to know.
Adrien has proved himself to be ready to know. He’s going to have the biggest crash out known to man when he finds out, but that’s ok and part of the process. At this point the truth is more logical and makes more sense to Adrien than the lie. To the point where he’s honestly kinda close to figuring it out on his own.
But what I appreciate about the new episode is that Marinette SEES THIS
She KNOWS the truth would make more sense
She KNOWS the truth would give him closure- closure he deserves to have
But she still can’t tell him
Because she’s scared. Of him hating or leaving her? Of their relationship changing or straining? Or just plain scared.
Either way now she’s realizing that the problem was never Adrien being ready but her own anxiety.
I think it was smart for the writers to go this way because the whole “I’ll tell Adrien when he’s ready” was getting REALLY old. And after heartfixer she’ll double down on not telling him because she’s scared of HERSELF being akumatized again
When before you know she was scared of chat blanc 2.0
Sooo even though the akuma itself was kinda disappointing I still think this episode was really good and maybe even one of miraculous’s best (with other factors going into that thought- not just wha I’ve said here)
