How’s life been after the show?
I’ve had to adjust to living away from my family and with a woman. *Smiled at Merce* But life has been good to me.
What have you been doing since the show ended?
I started playing for the symphony in Philadelphia a few weeks ago and am planning to open a photography studio sometime in the future.
How have you been adjusting to normal life after being on a hit show?
*Smirked* It’s been really nice to go back to normal life. I feel more relaxed away from the cameras.
How has your relationship with Mercedes been?
We are doing great. This is my first relationship so I’m still learning. Merce is a great teacher. I’m learning a lot of things from her.
Has it been harder now without the cameras always around?
No. It’s great to not have the cameras following me around all the time. I feel freer, like I can breathe again.
What do you miss most about the show?
*Looked at Joe* Joe. I miss seeing him every day. We still see each other from time to time but it’s not the same.
What’s one lasting memory you took away from the show?
I have too many favorites. Going to the Symphony with Santana. Learning how to surf with Joe. Spending time in Italy with Merce and helping Puck with the secret wedding plans. They are all equally good memories for me.
Who from the show have you kept in contact with?
Joe and Sugar, of course and the Puckerman’s.
How has the memories you’ve made on the show changed who you are now?
As you all know by now, I have Aspergers. Living with 7 other strangers was tough for me but each and every one of them taught me a valuable lesson. They have taught me to love, to break out of the shell I’ve been hiding in, and the most important lesson, learn to trust in another person. Those lessons helped mold me into the man I am today.
If you could go back and redo one thing from your time on the show what would it be? Why?
It would definitely be how things ended with Izzy. She’s a good person and didn’t deserve what I did to her. *Smiled* Izzy’s forgiven me for the past. We are friends now. We talk every now and then. She’ll call me whenever she needs advice on her sister, so things are great between us now.
