pia was born and raised in fallbrook north carolina. for the longest time, her parents were unable to have children but by some miracle, they had pia a little later in their adulthood. she was absolutely spoiled from the get go.

her cousin is chase becker and the jiani family used to host holidays at their house. pia has always been really big on family gathers and really close with her cousin because she didn’t grow up with any siblings. 

JT has been her best friend for as long as she can remember, even when he is often the biggest pain in the ass that she knows, but it’s fine, she loves him nonetheless. 

pia grew up pretty much unscathed when it came to life. she had friends that she lost and relationships that broke her head but over all, she lived a happy life. she loved her family and they were a happy family and not just on paper.

she left fallbrook for college and had known what she wanted to go for as a career for a long time. in high school, she had started managing the sports teams along side the coaches and really found her calling. her bossy and often argumentative demeanor brought a lot of dislike from the guys but she rarely let it phase her. 

in college, pia finally fell in love again, after a lot of time of not wanting to and she was about to bed wed shortly after graduation. and then the day of her wedding, she was left at the alter. pia never found out the reason because she ended up passing out and everyone’s attention was on her and he slipped out. she has never been able to find him or contact him, though she’s never gone as far to hire someone to look for him. 

she moved back to fallbrook with JT and took over the position of managing the north carolina fc and hasn’t looked back since, okay not much anyway. 

pia can come off strong but she really is only super intense when she is around the soccer team. a lot of time is actually spent making sure the soccer players dont make PR nightmares for themselves but she also helps set up fundraisers and camps to get young kids involved and the community involved in the team. 

she is very dedicated to her job but also loves taking time off when she can because if she doesn’t, she is certain that she will end up utterly insane. 

pia has recently found out her mother’s infertility might be genetic and there is a chance she cannot have kids but this is not information she has shared with many people, only her closest of close friends if that. 

she is still really close with her family and i imagine every year around thanksgiving, pia loves to throw a big friendsgiving gathering where there are games and lots of drinks.

“My heads going to be the size of this town if you keep filling it with pretty compliments.” She smiled warmly, taking Pia’s hand for a gentle squeeze of thanks. “You’ve gotta be kidding? Their too young to have aches and pains.” She shook her head. “I should come to practice sometime time and do a little song and dance. That’ll fix em.” She grinned, making her eyebrows dance. “I think it’s so wonderful that you keep those boys in line.” Pia was a badass in Leanne’s eyes, a kind, strong courageous woman. “You put in the hard work and it shows.” She called after her, leading Pia right to the spot. “You’ll have to do a little detective work to find it.” It was hidden in a small whole in the tree. “Of course, the more the merrier. I think it’s good to have some mindless fun. Takes some of the stress off life.” Which is exactly why she still hosted these events years after her kids were grown. “I heard.. he was back in town. Are you, doing okay?”

“I don’t think you’d ever let that happen,” she told Leanne, another compliment lobbed the woman’s way with a smile. “They are, but they get roughed up on the field,” she shook her head. It wasn’t unlike her players to play too hard but it was what made the game fun for them. They were invested, even if it hurt them at times. “That ought to be something they’d love,” which she knew it wouldn’t be, “I’d get a kick out of seeing that.” Pia shook her head at Leanne’s compliment, “It’s not always an easy task but they make the job fun most of the days,” at least when she wasn’t figuring out how to keep the local journalists from twisting a night out into something so terrible. “It sure does,” she followed as Leanne led her to the spot, her eyes moving around the tree. Pia bent down, running her hand through the grass, though she knew the woman wouldn’t make it quite so obvious. As she rounded around the tree, she paused as Leanne questioned if she was okay. It was to no surprise that Leanne knew that Andy was back in town. “I’m okay,” she shrugged her shoulders, spotting a small hole in the tree. A smile tugged slowly on her lips as she found the spot. Pia stuck her hand in the tree to grab the object, “we literally ran into each other,” she admitted to Leanne, stepping back from the tree with a grin. “Lucky my eye sight hasn’t gone yet. I almost missed this.”

Brandon opened the door and held it for Pia to enter first. His momma would have scolded him for weeks if he didn’t do the gentlemen thing and hold the door for her. Once she was inside, Brandon followed her eagerly to where the bar was set up. His eyes roamed the painting studio where various canvas of what he assumed other classes had painted were hanging. When she spoke to him, Brandon’s gaze came back to Pia. “Oh, I’ve been good. Nothin’ to complain about at least.” He answered with a small shrug before asking, “How about you? Been alright?” Brandon matched her drink order, knowing he wasn’t about to be sipping on wine. He much preferred beer to that. “Hell yeah. I know me and some of the boys will wanna go when we got a day off. I appreciate that, Pia.” He expressed with a smile to her. With their beers in hand, Brandon’s eyes moved around the room as others started to arrive. “Are we supposed to be like choosin’ a table or somethin’?”

“Can’t beat that, then, right?” Pia didn’t have much to complain about in her life either, well, except the fact that the man she almost married was back in town. Pia had returned to Fallbrook a few years ago when he left her standing at the alter. It was a story that had run it’s course through the rumor mill in town, though she pushed through and came out the other side a stronger woman. The rumors didn’t last long and she had no doubt it was Leanne that put an end to them. “I’ve been good, yeah,” she knew it was no time to dive into the fact her ex-fiancé was wandering around Fallbrook again. Taking a sip of her beer, she smiled as Brandon said he’d be coming to games with his friends, “You bet,” she widened her smile into a grin, looking around the room as he did. “I think so,” she nodded her head. Lifting a hand to gesture, she pointed to a table not far, “We can snag that one here on the end. Still close to the bar, too.”

Seeing Pia standing there in front of him, it was almost as if everything came rushing back to him. That day came rushing back to him. It was almost as if the breath got knocked out of Andy momentarily. Blue eyes gazed into hers, trying to see if she was truly alright. It had been awhile since he had seen her, so he couldn’t exactly read her anymore, in any capacity. “As long as you’re okay.” His voice faltered before looking down at Zuko. He kneeled down, picking up the ball, throwing it again. Standing up straight again, he didn’t look at the woman in front of him right away. “I figured it was about time. I couldn’t do the big city life anymore, and I figured I’d move closer to my parents again.” Looking at Pia, a sigh escaped him. “I was about to the point of needing some help anyways.” His voice tapered off again before he took a deep breath. “I’d ask you how you’ve been, but I don’t know if you’d want to do small talk or not.”

“I am,” she really didn’t know if she was. Physically, yes, the blonde was okay. In that moment, however, Pia didn’t know if she was emotionally okay. She had done her best to move on, was finding herself interested in others. Pia had yet to find someone to marry and she wasn’t even sure that she wanted that after how the first time went. “Right,” she nodded her head to his words, her heart clenching in his chest as she looked at his face for a reason he might need help. “W-what do you mean you needed help?” Pia figured it was stupid to ask but there was a part of her that would still care about him, despite what he did to her. “But you’re right,” she straightened her shoulders, trying not to let herself become vulnerable to him again. “Small talk isn’t exactly where we are at, huh?”

Brandon had honestly forgot he had signed up for the Easter Egg Auction date until he got an invite informing him of where his date was and who it was with. He knew Pia since they were both locals and Brandon enjoyed sporting events from time to time. Despite their age difference, he still figured they would enjoy the night. At least it included alcohol. Brandon arrived a few minutes early opting to stand outside before heading into the studio. When he heard her voice, Brandon smiled at Pia. “Hey, Pia. Actually, I just got here and uh, ain’t been inside yet.” He answered honestly. “Should we head on in?” Brandon wondered aloud, glancing inside for a moment to see if there were the first ones there. He noticed another pair already inside sipping some drinks. “Think they got beer?”

“We should, yeah,” she nodded her head to Brandon’s suggestion for the evening. “I bet they do,” she looked around, spotting the bar. “over there,” she lifted her hand to point without drawing too much attention as they headed for the one thing that probably enticed a lot of people to come out if they weren’t on a date for the auction. “How have you been?” She questioned as she approached the bar to order herself a beer, “You plan on coming out to any games this season? I can get you some good lower bowl seats.” Pia offered with a smile as she received her drink, probably one of many this particular evening.

He shrugged. “That’s true. Feels like we do. I definitely know a great amount.” He smiled at her be rocking back on his feet and then standing normally. “Grease, actually. I teach drama at Cooper University and the spring play is Grease. I was working on some choreography for one of the songs as you can tell.” Oliver smiled. “I was hoping to have it ready by the next practice.”

“Grease, nice,” Pia grinned at him, “When is that supposed to debut?” She questioned with a raise of her brow. “I haven’t seen Grease before, I mean the movie, yeah, but never a play,” she explained, not wanting him to think that she was completely out of the loop. “You’ve got most of it down, from what I can tell.”

Running a hand through his hair, Andy gripped the ball that was in Zuko’s mouth. “Give it,” he said through gritted teeth, before finally pulling it from the dog’s death grip. “One more, and then we have gotta go pick Beth up.” He pet his head before tossing the ball one last time. Standing up properly, he pulled the leash from his back pocket. It was then he felt someone bump into him. “Oh. Sorr–” Andy froze, not even having to see the woman’s face completely to know exactly who it was. He started stammering, not exactly knowing what to say. Eyes moved down to see her hand at her chest. “Are you okay? Did I hurt you when I bumped into you?” Hand extended out, leash still in his hand. That was when Zuko ran up to the pair, dropping the ball at his feet. It brought Andy out of the daze that was Pia. He knew he was staring, but he couldn’t help it. 

Pia immediately felt her body tense around Andy. It had been a few years since in the incident but she hadn’t seen him or heard from it. To her, it was like he disappeared off planet Earth entirely. Pia made sure he was blocked on all social media - well, rather, Leanne made sure of that for her. She knew how heart-broken the young girl had been upon her return to Fallbrook. “I’m fine,” Pia shrugged off his concern, doing her best to avoid his gaze but she couldn’t. Despite not wanting to be interested at first, Pia had always been drawn to him like a moth to a flame. “I’m fine, Andy, really.” She didn’t take a step back, not like she wanted too. Her feet were firmly cemented in front of him, frozen. “I - I didn’t know you were back in town.” She cleared her throat, stating the obvious.

“I do I look pretty great for my age.” She grinned. The young woman was always so kind and complimentary. It really boosted Leanne’s ego. “My knees have no problem reminding me I’m prehistoric..” She joked. “Oh, yay! I’m so glad.” Leanne clasped her hands together excitedly. “Who did you get matched up with?” Hopefully someone that would show Pia a good time. She deserved it. “It’s good your getting out there. It seems like all you do lately is work.” She scolded playfully. “It is, for the most part. I do have a little help though, I am not magic, contrary to popular belief.” She used to do it all, but with how big the events got each year she’d taken on a team of helpers to make things happen. “That’s my girl.” Leanne smirked, handing Pia a basket. “Try looking over by that tree. You might find something you like.”

“Everyone hopes to look as good as you,” Pia hoped she aged as gracefully as Leanne did. Though, she imagined it had something to do with how pure the woman’s heart was. “At least you don’t complain about it like my soccer players,” she teased, “not that they listen when I tell them to take it easy so that’s really on them, stubborn boys.” She shook her head as she let out a small laugh. “I do love my job,” despite the schedule that came with it at times. Though, she knew that it was on her. Pia chose to spend that much time at work. “I do feel like I have heard that rumor a time or two again,” she teased with Leanne as she took the basket from her, “Mm, I do like the sound of that,” Pia grinned as she headed toward the tree that Leanne pointed out to her. “This brings me back to being a kid,” Pia softened her smile, “it’s really nice that you still have this and let us all participate.”

“Don’t we all,” she nodded her head as she lined herself up to play against him, “Oh you are playing a show?” Pia hadn’t heard that, “When and where? I will make sure I am there.” The woman was a grand supporter of Jack and she wouldn’t miss when he was playing if she could help it. “There is just something about the festival food,” she said as she grabbed her own bean bags and set them to the side of her board, “it’s just infrequent enough to look forward too and is always delicious.”

“Please I barely have a life running one business, you’d never see me outside if I had two!” Maya laughed with a shake to her head. Not that she had much free time now but she revelled in the days she did have off. She nodded at Pia’s words all the work she did was far beyond what most people would do and she hoped her friend was shown the gratitude she deserved. “Hmmm,” she tapped a finger against her chin as if in thought. “When am I ever not up for it!” she laughed already excited. Flying Pig was easily in the top five restaurants she frequented in town.

“You’re right, we couldn’t have that, then!” Pia exclaimed, shaking her head. “If I didn’t see you at all? I don’t know what I would do with myself.” Their meet-ups were already few and far between with their adult lives getting the better of them. “I thought that would be the case,” she let out a laugh at Maya’s excitement for the restaurant. “So fill me in,” she grinned at the other, “did you end up signing up for the Easter Egg Auction Date thingy?” Pia curiously wiggled her brows, “Thanks to my mom, I definitely did.”

When Pia signed up for the Easter Basket Auction dates, she didn’t know who she would end up with. Mostly, the blonde signed up to appease her mother. She wished for Pia to be happy and well, her ideas were skewed, thinking that Pia needed to be married and have a family for that to be the case. Perhaps, in part, that was because Pia almost had that. When she got her invitation for the date with Brandon Levitt, she was looking forward to it. More than anything, Pia knew it was a chance to get out of her house. He was a bit older than her, but of course she knew of the Levitt family. They were part of Fallbrook just like any other family was. “Brandon, hey,” she smiled at him as she approached, “have you seen what we are painting yet?” She hadn’t, wondering if he had.

Pia had the day off - which was surprising to her and quite frankly, the woman was at a loss of what to do for the day. It was nice out, so she gathered her bearings and headed out to Anderson Park where she figured a walk would do her good. Sure, Pia was on her feet a lot with work, but this was different. The blonde wasn’t pacing back and forth, stretching onto her tip toes to shout at her players. This was supposed to be a stress free day. As stress free as they got when it came to herself. She had a habit of thinking a lot about work and not so much about herself. It was what she was lost in thought about as she strolled casually through the park. As her shoulder connected with that of another, Pia was abruptly brought back to reality. Pia looked up as she spit out an apology, her mouth falling agape as she met the gaze of the man that she almost married. Stumbling backwards, she shook her head. The last time she saw Andy, she was chasing after him and she had fainted from the stress as he took off from their wedding. “A-Andy,” she breathed his name, her hand clutching at her shirt over her heart.

“Oh, no. I really don’t mind.” Leanne shook her head and waved a dismissive hand. “It’ll be nice to cook for someone who doesn’t have the pallet of a five year old. I’ve been limited to making grilled cheese and pizza rolls lately.” Not that she minded, she loved her grandkids dearly and was happy to have them around more. “Good plan. I always like to finish strong, boosts my ego.” Once the food was on she slid on her glasses and went over to the box. “Gosh. You’ve got so many options.” She settled on pomegranate iced tea for thier building venture. “I’m glad to hear that. I think the festival is going to be a big hit this year. I’m still in need of volunteers for some of the booths.” She hinted, screwing a piece together. “I’m also hosting my annual Easter egg hunt that Sunday morning before the festival kicks off. I hope you’ll stop by?“

“I will say there is nothing wrong with that but that’s because that’s probably all I’ve been eating, too,” she admitted with a laugh, “but I am looking forward to an adult geared dinner made by Fallbrook’s finest.” Pia complimented the woman. “It is a good ego boost.” There were times when that was needed, even with the smallest of victories in life. “I think so too.” She laughed as Leanne screwed a piece together, “You know I am going to volunteer.” Pia knew that she wouldn’t hear the end of it from her mother if she didn’t. “Of course I will stop by,” she smiled at Leanne, “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

“Yeah,” truthfully, the Osman woman was more relieved this wasn’t a conversation about what happened between her and JT when she first started. She knew that he hadn’t been the type to sugarcoat but the last thing she needed was for her sisters to find out about what she had done with her boss especially Leyla. She plucked a french fry off the plate in front of them, popping it into her mouth as she let her eyes rest on her. “Ah,” she chuckled. “Well, I think I’m more stubborn than he is pushy.” She teased. She nodded her head. “Actually, I am. I even signed up to be apart of the blind date Easter egg thing… Kind of excited to see where that goes.”

Pia was glad to hear Dilara say those words. “That’s exactly what he needs in his life, someone that is more stubborn than he is pushy.” She had grown up with JT, many of her own friends questioning why she was even friends with him. They didn’t know him like she did, considering he wasn’t one to always let people in. Pia just happened to be someone that has always been in his life and she made it very clear that she wasn’t going anywhere. “Oh really?” She raised her brow, “I did too actually,” she laughed, shaking her head. “thanks to my mom for that one. She just wants to see me happy.” Pia mentioned, shrugging her shoulders, “I think the results are supposed to come out later this night with pairings,” she glanced down at her phone for the time, “yeah, I think in like a half hour.”

“Time needs to slow down. I’m not ready to be old yet. ” She insisted with a playful stomp of her foot. She still felt like she was Pia’s age sometimes, the arthritis in her knees reminded her she was getting up there. “You really do look darling. I hope you signed up for the pick your egg blind dates.” Not that Pia should be in any rush, but Leanne felt the young woman deserved a good man in her life. At the very least someone who made her feel nice and she could have fun with. “I appercite that, but it takes more than me to pull this off, I wrangle sweet, unsuspecting souls like you and my kids into helping me.” She wiggled her fingers and let out a wicked witch cackle. “I was hoping you’d say yes. I’ll join you. It’ll be like old times.” Leanne grabbed two baskets. “Luckily for you, I might know where one of the prize eggs is..”

“You? Old? I don’t think anyone could ever think of you that way, or even dare to call you that.” As far as Pia was concerned Leanne would never be old, forever youthful which was something the younger woman aspired to be. “Shockingly, to the both of us, I did do that.” She smiled at Leanne, knowing it would make the woman smile. Pia was certainly in no rush, especially not after being left at the alter roughly four years ago. Her dating life was minimal and well, needed some spicing up. And then there was the peer pressure from her mother to sign up, which was really put the nail in the coffin for Pia. She couldn’t resist her mother’s baby blues. Pia laughed with Leanne’s witchy cackle, shaking her head at the woman. “I don’t believe that for a second, this whole time I’ve always been convinced it’s just you.” She teased right back, taking a basket from Leanne as she grabbed two. “Well, well, well,” she wiggled her brows playfully, “I promise your secret is safe with me.”

Pia laughed along with him, unable to keep a smile off her face. It had been a long time since the woman had taken a day off, let alone a few hours here and there to herself. Pia always felt like she was on the job, always looking out. “Drinks and dinner it is,” she nodded her head, knowing at the very least, either way, Pia would be getting another few hours off whether tonight or any other night. “We taking turns or throwing on the count of three?”

Jack was enjoying his time at the festival. It was always nice to see the town all done up and decorated, and there was a certain vibe that floated through the town. The fact that spring was underway helped to further push the sense for celebration. He knew that Milo had been stationed at the bean bag stall, so he was wondering over when he spotted Pia there as well. “Hey Pia!” He said with a wave and a grin. “Any tips and tricks you’re willing to share on how to succeed in this?”

“Jack, hey there,” she smiled at the familiar face that approached the bean bag game. “Tips and tricks, hmm,” she tipped her head to the side, “no can do,” Pia wagged her finger playfully at him. “But I’m on a break if you want a partner or opponent,” it had slowed down around the game she was manning. “People must be getting ready to enjoy the show or getting their snacks.”
