Life in the south started off for Cordelia and she was known to be the vibrant one of the pack. She loved playing house with her friends, pretending she was cooking in her play kitchen and already loving the idea of becoming a mother. With her little sisters, she was always helping out around the house, bottle feeding Astrid and brushing her hair for her. When the family decided to move to California, she was initially so upset. At this point, she’d already made so many friends, her life had structure and purpose and now everything was being turned upside down. It wasn’t fair to her, it wasn’t fair at all and she let her parents know that. California was full of movie stars, beauty she couldn’t compete with. Why would a pre-teen already be worried about something like that? Pop culture was to blame. All of the Disney stars she’d seen around her age were drop dead beautiful and she was this awkward girl coming into teenhood.
Her awkwardness paid off because she felt she had no chance with the boys, she was so focused on school. Not only was she consistently at the top of her class, but she was studying foreign languages intensely because she had this dream of starting her own diamond business out of Russia. Despite this, Russian was one of the language she hadn’t studied so intensely. French came first, German was eased in soon after and Italian was the last. She never got too deep with her Italian studies, but whenever she would vacation there, she was able to get by enough to enjoy her time there. Her parents were proud, she was studying hard to ensure her place in one of the top colleges in the country. This put her at an awkward place with her siblings, though, seeing as how she barely spent time with them and focused so deeply on her studies. Life would change before she knew it though... drastically.
During her senior year, she realized that she was garnering a lot of male attention. What could possibly be the reason? Well, she was beautiful and everyone could tell. At this point, she started wearing her hair down, opting for lenses as opposed to her glasses and her braces were off. While that shouldn’t have been the reason everyone started paying attention to her, that was exactly what happened. This was the first summer she’d spent entirely back at Fallbrook, a mini vacation before college. She’d fall in love for the first time, a summer romance even. When it came time for her to go off to college, she reluctantly ended things with this boy so she could focus on her studies.
In college, she studied Economics in order to put her business plans in motion. A clear order of events would occur, she had her life on track. The opportunity to study in Paris came up and she did just that, which was where she met her now ex-husband and Bentley’s father. Whirlwind romance, the two fell madly in love and stayed together even after she returned to the states to finish school. She went back to Paris after senior year, where she got engaged and soon after, married. It was a grand wedding, her entire family was present and her sisters were apart of the bridesmaids crew. They were incredibly happy for her, it was the first time she’d smiled and cried so much in years.
The return to California came soon after where she became the general manager of a nightclub but it wouldn’t be very long-lasting. The truth was that she wand her husband wanted to have a child and they’d been trying. Her first pregnancy failed and it nearly ate her alive. Amelia Britney was born stillborn and she never thought she could go through something so tough again. The couple had initially stopped trying and that was when Bentley finally came into their lives. She was so incredibly sick, she could barely move during the pregnancy and she was somehow losing weight everywhere besides her belly. This called for a change of life and they relocated to Fallbrook.
Baby Bentley was finally here and he would be the light of their lives, but she couldn’t help but have a sneaky suspicion that her once very loving husband was cheating on her. He was working late nights more often, she could’ve sworn she smelled others women’s perfumes on him and it was driving her up the wall. The game plan she had was to open a bar in town, which she did, and then leave. At the celebration dinner of her grand opening of Aero Cocktail Bar, she served her husband with divorce papers and went to stay with her family until she could figure her life out. After about a month, she moved into a brand new home in Rosewood Hills, the divorce was finalized and they shared joint custody of their child.
These days, anyone can find Cordelia taking care of her son, driving him to football and soccer games and tending to her bar on a daily cadence. She’s dated a couple of men between her divorce 7, nearly 8 years ago and now, but she’s remaining single for the time being. She wants to devote as much attention as she can to her business and her baby boy
