ashamed of myself i didn’t pick up on the fact that caine has heterochromia - in rare occasions it’s caused by chimerism - while in the womb, one fetus may absorb another that has different eye color, if i simplify it, causing the surviving one have different eye colors

while it’s not usually caused by chimerism and it’s actually really really rare (literal statistical anomaly) it is a very common misconception that heterochromia is straightforwardly caused by chimerism alone so yeah i’m sure it was foreshadowing
