something about jily is so Princess Bride coded to me. James being Westley and Lily being Buttercup, the sass between the two of them that keeps up a fun banter but still shows so much love.

maybe in an AU of the marauders as princess bride characters;

snape is humperdink,

maybe barty for count ruben(why not)

sirius is inigo(perfect vibe(reggie being who he lost instead of his father??)),

remus is fezzik(werewolf “scary” but really a big sweetheart),

peter is vizzini(gotta keep the boys all together),

maybe pandora and xenophilius are miracle max and valerie,

marlene would be the beggar woman(i just think it’d be funny)

evan is the albino(barty’s partner(in crime))

dorcas is the head guard

mary is the bishop at the wedding(she’d have too much fun with that(i don’t know where else to put her tbh)

one thing I respect the hell out of is little kids lying down on the floor in public. they have had ENOUGH and are ready to go HOME and are willing to be a HUGE INCONVENIENCE about it. we can learn so much from them

the marauders each had a stick-n-poke tattoo that remus did for all of them in fifth year. they all have their animagi’s footprint: a deer hoof for james, a rat paw for peter, a dog paw for sirius and a wolf print for remus. these are in a different place for each of them and are relatively small, it was each of their first tattoos.

how i think the guys are when blackout drunk:

sirius- babbling on about his brother and his boyfriend until he passes out face down in the common room

james- has surprisingly never let himself get fucked enough to completely lose control of himself but has fs gotten close

peter- sits and stares at a wall for a concerning amount of time until he has to be brought to bed by force

remus- fully believes he could take anyone in a fight and often tries, but is very easily distracted which is taken advantage of to keep him from doing anything stupid

reminder that you are still a very valid marauders fan if you haven’t read crimson rivers and atyd and you’re also completely valid if you’re not a jegulus shipper,,, people seem to forget this!!!!

lily and remus study together all the time in the library. they would always be side by side at the long table or sitting together at a small table in a tucked away corner. it wasn’t uncommon to find one or both of them passed out over a textbook or leaning on the other. this was such a consistent thing that people believed that the two were dating for like a solid month until someone actually asked and they had to diminish the rumors.

lily enjoys crocheting and she would make little things for the guys often. some favorites include: fingerless gloves for remus, a winter hat for james, a rat plush bag charm for peter and a bolero sweater(shoulder shrug) for sirius.

go read a wolfstar fanfic but make sure that Monster by dodie and Like Real People Do by Hozier are on your reading playlist. you’ll hate me later :)

i love thinking that just before the start of either first or second year remus started having to use a walking cane because his muscles had significantly weakened due to the moons. i also think that the guys would have spent time secretly hand carving a wood cane for remus and carving little designs on it
