Yeaaaaah - I finished one more chapter. Thing is, I was willing at first to make Monochromon a shady serious guy - and finally, quite naturally when I made these pages, he became a quite good-natured guy, too kind for his own good.

So, doing some illustrations made me remember I'm supposed to have a fan-comic-book to continue on my free time. So here it is, a new page !

Question : Why Gotsumon is so not willing to go to the Great Canyon ?

I'm so in a Digimon obsessed mood right now I'm so willing to go back on the first chapters to clean them and translate them in english. But where can I find the time with all my others projects (I was not even supposed to make a digimon page today).

No time ? That's the cost of being an artist using his hands instead of acquering any AI-art-simulator. At the end, you know what you give into a project.

Conrad & Ryudamon :

Another vibe here - my own character I was playing on the forum RP Digimon, inspired by the wonderful Devin Druid. Quite a tragic character, may be too tragic - he lost a parent and a sibling in a car accident, and became bullied at school. Interesting to play of course, but may be too much for only one character. Still, I loved to play him as a really sensible character (his symbol is the Empathy by the way). Too sensible may be (can you be "too" sensible, I don't think so, anyway). The kind of sensible other digidestined see as weak, making Conrad not suitable to have a monster with him.

About Ryudamon - first, what a nightmare to draw such a complicated Rookie Digimon (but alos a challenge, so I loved it). What a cool Digimon. All his evolution line is cool ! As a character, he's totally different of Conrad. He is a Digimon who is not very good to express his own emotions, quite in control of them. He's still quite open to Conrad sensibility, but he's the one who restrain him when emotions push the boy too far. Ryudamon is a quiet warrior, not for free violence and cruelty, but always willing to defend Conrad dignity and honor. That's why he would not hesitate to fight and kill another Digimon to defend the honor of his tamer. That's when Conrad has to restrain his own monster.

Fingal & ModokiBetamon :

One more ? Let's go !

Here is Fingal and ModokiBetamon (and not Evan and Betamon as in the comic-book). I quite love the energy of these two characters who totally complete each other. Fingal is a no-problem guy - like, he's always in good mood and positive. He grows up in Glasgow, in the "manor Flanagan", a big house quite in bad shape, because his family is poor. Also, he's the middle child of a family of 5 children. He's quite the guy who love to go out, quite independant. Not the kind of guy to worries about the mystery of the Digital World or willing to think to much, and always having tendency to say jokes and all.

His partner is ModokiBetamon who is quite the extra-energetic little guy. Very curious, he's always asking questions, too much questions, with a lack of human-social-convention. He loves playing video games, surfing on internet and watching TV, and he always wants to be part of any discussion, even if he has to speak loudly for everyone to know he's here. Some people could say that being a "modoki" is the reason, inferiority complex and all. But he's just a noisy little guy who fits perfectly with Fingal.

"Jennika" et Chichimon :

Okay, yesterday I had fun doing the precedent illustration. So I did another one. Jennika is the pseudonyme on internet of Jenna, "inspired" (retaken) from the character of Jenna in Degrassi. Quite the originality ....

She's quite a sunshine, very generous, quite supportive and ready to give her friendship to anyone. Too naive may be. But she's also not afraid to punch someone who mistreated her. She's not the learder-type. She could, but she's not, may be because some side of her is quite unsure.

Her Companion is Chicchimon who is quite a dreamy Digimon, an artist, a poet even. He's quite snob and sensible, and often dislike the attitude of Jennika he considers quite vulgar. On the opposite, she loves to provoke him on this subject. Also, he cannot speaks without saying Chicchi at the end of his sentences.

Lucie et Lunamon

Just a little illustration. I made a Digimon forum RP last year but sadly, the sauce didn't take - as we said in France - probably because the french fandom is quite hard to get (or may be because I'm bad at communication).

Still, I was willing to draw one of the pre-builded character, high-school student Lucie with her Lunamon.

Lucie is quite a book-worm, very strict on rules and wants to be the perfect model student and daughter. Her symbole would be the Reason.

Her Lunamon is quite a diva, having quite a princess-attitude, but not the kind to be dictated anything. She's quite a feminist and tend to learn to Lucie to not be impose any dicta of society because she's a girl. Even if she has to turn back sometimes at the rules.

(Note : The Lucie appareance was retaken from the character of Clare in Degrassi (my favorite teen tv show))

Chapter 36 Page 6 :

A page full of nostalgie ! For me, less for you, because I'm referencing to a chapter I made in 2015 ! And I was not on Tumblr at this time, sharing my digimon pages (shame on me).

Yes, there was a time when Evan was travelling alone with Dramon (Betamon), before being joined by Simeon, Basil and Sarah (who ?). 12 chapters of adventures alone, before the group became the present one. It was another time, when my panels was not right, my colors was too bright, everyting was made on paper, even the texts. Hello people ! Hope you're alright ! It's this time of the year again when I'm having a break with my main project (2 weeks of summer in Massachusetts, readable on instagram gzaltan_gonera) and me getting back to my others projects. Don't be surprised if you see few pages of the new chapter of Digimon poping-up here and here. I'm still thinking about the english version, sometimes, but I have so not the time to do it properly.

The whole chapter 35 :

Miracle can happen - I finished the chapter 35 of Digital Chronicles. It's been long, I went from no color to all full color (because no color is so sad). Long pause between some pages because a lot of work with others projects (as publishing two comics all by myself and working on my next ones). But still, I love doing the Digimon comics and I can't wait to begin the next one. AND THE NEXT ONE, A WHOLE NEW ARC ! Yes, because I began the arc of the dinosaur country a long, long, VERY LONG TIME AGO, 2018 something like that. There was the intro, the Piximon fight, the fight against these two mysterious human girls, the meeting with Centarumon, the fight against Tyrannomon, and then, the adventure in the Speedy time zone (with METEORMON <3). The new arc, let's spoil a tiny bit, will change stuff, in the group, in the "friendship", some old characters will come back, and a lot of surprises will happen, I promise ! How long would be the next arc in time of making ? Let's say if I finish it on ten years, I would be happy ... sorry to be that long.

And yes, one day, a translation would happen, one day. Someday ...

Yes, I'm still on it ! I'm just extra ultra busy. This page was supposed to be the last one of the chapter. But 13 pages ? It's not enough ! So I drew few more pages, and the chapter extended to 19. After that, the arc of the Dinosaur region would be OVER (after six years, yeaaaah).

(And yes, first mention of ANALOGMAN !)

Next page was supposed to be the last one of this chapter ... but ... 13 pages, what scam it is ? So I decided to draw two, may be three more pages to conclude (at last) this chapter. Dinosaur region arc is almost over (it's been like 5 or 6 years since I introduce it), I can't wait to go to the next one !

Digimon World Chapter 35 Page 6 and 7 :

I didn't create the Meteormon tribe, Digimon World did. But still, SO MUCH QUESTION ! Is the Champion Digimon goes into space to evoleve into Meteormon ? Or is it some kind of Jogress shinka from Baby to Perfect ? Let's be honest, the game developer probably didn't think it through. BUT I THINK ABOUT IT NOW !
