Every now and then, I still see people ripping on the Green Goblin suit of the 2002 Sam Raimi movie like it was the worst super villain costume ever put in film, and I’ m kind of tired of it.
It’s not that bad, guys. It really isn’t.
In fact, given the concept of the character, the time these movie were made, the context and that making a super hero movie back then was huge gamble, I’d say it’s almost miraculous we still got so many essentials to the character of Norman Osborn and of his suit.
Norman Osborn is a power-hungry dude who got hooked on Koo-Koo serum, puts on a weird gremlin armor complete with fruit bombs and bat-hooverboard, and we got that.
Dude’s even named “Green Goblin” in-universe . How wild is that ?!
The Amazing Spider-Man, driven to evil conquest by his not-girlfriend making out with his not-partner while he laments that his actual girlfriend broke up with him
