THAILAND ADVENTURES: DAY 2[Part 1] | Wat Phra Kaew(The Emerald Buddha Temple) & The Grand Palace
Sorry for posting my entries late...lots of traveling and pics so I just end up getting too tired to post when Iām home ahaha. Anyways, we had an eventful day for Day 2. The first part consisted of going to Wat Phra Kaew and The Grand Palace. As previously mentioned Wat Phra Kaew is also known asĀ āThe Emerald Buddha Templeā. As you might guess there is a lovely emerald statue of Buddha in the temple. Itās known as a great treasure in Thailand (having originally been a gift to the royal family, if I remember correctly). That being said itās a gorgeous place. I really liked appreciating the Thai architecture, ornate decorations, and the murals. It a great place that displays Thai history, culture, and epics(through the murals). The Grand Palace itself is truly grand and beautiful. You can definitely see the western influence on the architecture. My only complaint had to do with the other visitors. Iāll post my rant in more detail on my personal account later [Click Here]. Basically I just want to say if youāre visiting somewhere else whether itās someoneās house or country, you treat it with respect! Have fun, but be considerate and respect the culture and customs. Also just freakinā have manners. Please and thank you.
THAILAND ADVENTURES: DAY 1 | iBerry Cafe (Nawamin City Avenue) [Part 2] I like food. Thatās all there is to it.
THAILAND ADVENTURES: DAY 1 | iBerry Cafe (Nawamin City Avenue) We took it easy to just rest and so we went around exploring the shops at Nawamin City Avenue since itās in front of our neighborhood. We stumbled upon this adorable Japanese cafe chain called Iberry. I really like the design/decor. Plus it was extremely hot (almost 100 Fahrenheit), so all I wanted was something to drink and some ice cream. I got a iced hazelnut latte while my sister got an iced cocoa. We also got a chocolate cake & ice cream set. For our ice cream we chose nutella and the strawberry & banana flavors. It was really good~ The cake itself was light, fluffy, and moist. It wasnāt too sweet either. Interestingly enough though, the frosting was more like chocolate pudding.Ā
