The fact that no one makes magneto fam stuff with ATJ when he is the only actor who has played anyone in the family who is actually Jewish or Romani (Just want to state for the record that while ATJ is Jewish, Pietro Maximoff is supposed to be Jewish and Romani.) is problematic in a way I can’t explain. It’s especially problematic because they continue to include Elizabeth Olsen because Elizabeth Olsen still refers to Wanda using slurs for Romani people. (Obviously the excluding ATJ is antisemitism v. anti-Romani sentiment but neither are ok and both are disgustingly prevalent in this fandom)

the problem with movie remakes is that they always remake something that was already good, meaning at worst you ruin it and at best your remake is largely redundant. to make a truly good remake you need to start with source material that is absolute dogwater. ignore the pull of nostalgia. redeem the sins of moviemaking past.
