The doctor pinches his nipple as instructed. David waves a hand in front of the naked man before him.
“Dr. McCabe, world class hypnotist, bested by his star patient,” David sneers. “I’ve learned a lot from you over the years, doctor. How do you like someone playing with your mind?”
The doctor maintains a stony silence as David takes his time, allowing his eyes to gorge themselves on his remarkably fit body.
“I always wondered what was under all of those fancy clothes, and I am not–” he drew in a sharp breath, “– disappointed. Now unlock your phone.”
Robotically, McCabe grabs his iPhone in unlocks it with his thumbprint. He hands it to the deranged teenager. David flips through the doctor’s calendar. A little playtime would have been preferable, but the doctor had a schedule to keep.
David fishes a phone and a short cord out of his pocket. He plugs it into the doctor’s phone, and a progress bar pops up on both of their screens.
“Get dressed,” he commands.
McCabe shot up from his chair and pulls on his form-fitting blue suit, piece by piece. As he wraps an expensive gold watch around his wrist, their phones chirp in unison.
“Cloned,” David said to himself, satisfied. He flips through his phone to ensure the doctor’s calendar and contacts were copied fully.
The doctor sits back down, as if sedated. David takes moment to admire his new play-toy. A toy that would ensure his freedom from the hospital. But until then, controlling the doctor would be a fun distraction until the discharge papers wind through the court system.
The boy plops a flesh-colored earpiece on the desk, then places a matching device in his own.
“Put it in your left ear. Now this is paired to your phone. Keep your phone powered on and by you at all times.”
The doctor nods in confirmation, then slowly scoops up the earpiece and installs it.
“Now doctor, I am in your head. When you shit… when you fuck your wife… when you work out, it will be because I tell you to.”
The Doctor’s phone rang as David snaps his fingers. McCabe suddenly becomes alert.
“Excuse me, David,” he says, resuming a cool, professional demeanor. “I need to take this. Would you mind waiting outside?”
“Okay,” he says, obligingly.
David listens as the tinny voice of his attorney buzzes through his earpiece. He wants a status report on his progress.
“Repeat after me,” David whispers. “David is doing very well. In fact, I think we should get in touch with the courts and start the discharge process.”
The doctor parroted his patient through the rest of the phone call. Afterward, there is a soft knock at the door.
“Doctor,” a nurse calls, “Your 4 o’clock is ready.”
Dr. McCabe looks to his new master hesitantly.
“It’s okay,” David says with a smile. “I’ll see myself out.“
David whispers dialog, which the doctor echoes.
“Show them in, Catherine! David was just leaving.”
