A number of common misconceptions in the DSMP fandom
- Just doing a bit of debunking here
- c!Charlie isn’t dead and he certainly isn’t in limbo, he got up and walked out of the room Quackity made for him.
- c!Puffychu weren’t engaged, they exchanged promise rings, which are different. They also have made remarks on not having seen each other for a while and likely don’t consider themselves to be together in a relationship anymore.
- The white streaked hair headcanon was originally a headcanon regarding Wilbur, with the original post being made around January when the idea of him being resurrected first came up. It was given to Tommy by the fandom later, but it didn’t start with him.
- Similarly, the white streak came from the traumatic stress of limbo and not the revival itself.
- Tubbo and Quackity did in fact ask Techno about his end goals in Pogtopia, only for him to respond “we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it”. He also enchanted the armor he gifted them with shit enchantments and acknowledged this in character, hinting he knew their alliance would never last.
- Wilbur is not stinky, and is in fact one of two characters to actually take a bath or shower on screen.
- Puffy is not c!Dream’s mother, she decanonized it a while ago. She was simply his friend who had a bit of a mom friend dynamic going on. She is still Foolish’s parent though, adopted since he is an immortal god.
- c!Fundy has stated multiple times c!Wilbur was a good parent to him as a child, their main issues are having to do with what we see in the elections/pogtopia arc when Fundy was an adult. He was not a neglectful or abusive parent.
- Niki and Jack did not fight in the L’manburg war, they only joined after.
- Tommy wasn’t solely exiled for burning down George’s house, Dream had been griefing builds and leaving signs saying Tommy did it (such as Eret’s palace), in an attempt to get Tommy in trouble already. The house was simply an opportunity he jumped on.
- Also, burning George’s house in the first place was an accident.
- Quackity was never actually not allowed in L’manburg, that was a misconception by Tommy that only Europeans were allowed in, but Wilbur later clarified in was only no Americans. He even told Quackity he could come as long as he wasn’t American. The thing he was actually initially banned from was entering the elections, not L’manburg
