ohh man I passed out and accidentally made like 20 more shadow milk cooki drawings oooooghg nooooo oh mannnn
Awwww sillehh
A memory just invaded my mind and I need to tell you all because I have nothing else going on, okay?
Do not yell when you are talking to friends. "Pen, normal people have fun with their friends, you loser!" You might say. Great! I'm not talking about having fun!
"Well, what are you talking about, Pen?" You may patiently ask, like a good audience—to which I applaud you.
You see, I am specifically talking about revelations! New information is exciting, right? You may find yourself so surprised you just yell it out to the world!
Not very helpful, though, is it? You see, when people mishear what their friends say and yell about it, this creates a bigger misunderstanding. Example: Person A says, calmly, "I think that wig has fleas." Person B responds, loudly, "you have fleas?!" Now that causes everyone else to look over, leaving Person A to quickly explain, "no, I meant the wig" to Person B.
Everyone else nearby, except for Person B, believes Person A has fleas. This is how it creates a bigger problem.
Now, "what if I didn't mishear, Pen? That makes it okay!" No. No, it does not. D:,
If your friend, your Person A, wanted everyone else to know they would say so themselves. They would yell it themselves, or specifically ask you to. It is not okay for you to share everything that is going on with them to people—strangers, especially—nearby without their consent. :(
Let's say Person A is talking about a surprise party for Person C! You, Person B, do not know who Person C is. With this new revelation, you find yourself so excited to help, you end up yelling out "a surprise party? Who's this lucky Person C?" Person C is in the same hallway. The surprise is unfortunately rendered useless.
We didn't intend to, but we just created a new conflict. Person A wishes they never spoke up, and feels embarrassed, humiliated even, and uncomfortable. ^^'
Instead of yelling out, we can (quietly) ask for confirmation. If you can't help it, maybe try changing the target, example: "a surprise party?—I didn't know it was your [family member]'s birthday soon!" This keeps the party a secret from Person C. If you end up saying the entire sentence: "a surprise party? Who's this lucky Person C—that might be able to help you out? Are they busy, do you need extra help from me?"
Nice! You saved the conversation! You also learned new information and didn't make your friend regret telling you at all! That's great. :)

I love ego renegade boy bc it takes the anti transmasc rhetoric of ‘how could you kill a beautiful girl’ ‘we’re mourning our daughter’ and says yeah I killed your daughter. and it was cool as fuck. I injected her with lethal chemicals aka my testosterone shot. I’m gonna make a music video about it.

Hanahaki disease is a psychosomatic illness. It's a thing that your body does in response to stress over constantly repressing/concealing your feelings in settings with high background magic. It's like you've been ignoring pain for a long time and suddenly your vision starts going dark, because your affected body is just YANKING on random alerts trying to get you to PAY ATTENTION there is a PROBLEM. Yes the flowers do really exist. So do non-magical psychosomatic symptoms. The flowers aren't special.
This does of course open up the trope to options for non-romantic concealed feelings. Which I think is great. There is something viscerally satisfying about the person who seems so outwardly chipper coughing and hacking and spitting up Depression Flowers so now everyone has to know they're hurting. Isn't there?
Hanahaki, but it's a child that feels neglected by their parents.
Hanahaki, but it's someone whose friends have started ghosting them.
Hanahaki, someone's wife is cheating on them.
Hanahaki, the disease that gives you three options: confront your feelings, destroy the love you hold for someone or perish choking on roses.
Imagine this for transness
Hanahaki but it’s your body desperately needing you to love and care for it while your mind is trapped in the body that doesn’t fit, that’s wrong as it destroys you from the inside out the longer you aren’t able to get help to make your body feel like you
hey
hey friend
dont kill yourself tonight ok
you have a really pretty smile and i know its not always easy to manage one but itd be a bummer if we never had the chance to see it ever again

Ups

identical to mine
Oh by the way if you view nonbinary people as having to be either transmasc or transfem, or being man/woman-lite, or tma/tme, or literally anything except what they tell you about their gender, you are transphobic
Stop forcing nonbinary people INTO A FUCKING BINARY.
one time I went over to a friend's house and their housemate was making paper in the living room, and we saw this big tub full of water they were using to dissolve old scrap paper into a slurry, and everyone was immediately like "oh, you need scrap paper?" and started turning out their jacket pockets and producing expired coupons and bus tickets and crumpled receipts and old shopping lists and whatever else they'd been carrying round with them for no good reason, and passing it all to the paper-making housemate to make sure it was suitable before it got torn up and dropped into the tub, while people took turns stirring the slurry with a big wooden stick. it was strangely ritualistic, like presenting an offering to some kind of temple elder for inspection before placing it in a watery shrine to be devoured and reformed. pulp for the pulp god.
