Hi! It's pinkandscary, previously known as @/medically-fucked-jirai (I really liked that name, I'm sad I can't use it anymore).
I post more risky stuff on Mastodon (where I use the same name as here), because I'm terrified of getting termed again, but I want to use Tumblr again.
This is a Jirai vent blog, so please proceed with caution. Content warning for $/H and general mental instability. Please block us if this makes you uncomfortable.
Suspected (by medical professionals): C-PTSD, DID/OSDD-1, ADHD, Delayed Gastric Emptying
User Suspects: AvPD (likely), ARFID (likely), ME/CFS (possibly), HNPP (I have the symptoms but can't afford the genetic test), FND (maybe)
We are a system. You may use they/them to collectively refer to us, but it doesn't really matter. Here's everyone who may use the blog.
Ash: Host of the system and primary user of this blog. Really likes My Chemical Romance. (They/He)
Charlie: Primary protector, and probably the oldest out of all of us. Can't draw for shit (which is only significant bc the rest of us can). Any pronouns.
Kae: Little and trauma holder. Won't interact with anyone and just uses this to vent. (They/She/He)
Rin: Was the one who created the original blog. Doesn't use this very much, but is the one who enjoys Girly Kei fashion the most. (It/She)
En: Will post about wanting to die. Probably won't indicate that it's him. (He/She)
Katya: Introject and trauma holder (probably). Generally friendly and cooperative. Most open to socialization. (She/They)
If there is a post where no one is tagged, either we're blendy, or it's not relevant and we don't want to bother to tag anything.
personally I'm annoyed by the socioeconomic conditions that made words like "unalive" necessary but simultaneously impressed by the linguistic adaptations young people have made to continue talking about important things while subject to those conditions and I think if you can't hold both of those thoughts in your head you might just be old man yelling at cloud
I think at bare minimum all medical professionals need to make sure they are treating patients with more kindness and respect than grifters. if you go to a doctor and they treat you like shit, humiliate you, and send you home without any information on your body or access to treatment, then health-grifters' offers will start to feel more tempting by simply giving the most basic performance of taking you seriously and caring about your well-being. grifters should be condemned for manipulating and exploiting sick people, and doctors also play a role in whether grifts thrive or are successfully identified and rejected. genuine baseline human respect, and beginning a relationship with a patient by earning (rather than demanding) trust, goes a long way.
i understand (on paper) why companies are anti-piracy but its funny when random individuals are also strongly anti-piracy. like how does it negatively affect your life if someone you know downloads a cracked torrent of sims 4. you dont work for EA. EA isnt gonna pay you for this. you lose nothing. its fine. chill out.
i really thought the point of "being lgbt+ doesn't absolve you of racism as a white person" was that white people arent absolved of racism by being marginalized but it really seems like people think other marginalizations make it okay. no being disabled doesn't do it. no being poor doesnt do it. we need to fight against racism actively no matter what.
what languages do you speak? Do you have just one first language/language spoken when you were little? Multiple? Do you still speak them? How about ones you learned later? Are you fluent?
that sort of thing
I’ll start! My first language is English, but I’ve been learning Spanish for five years and counting and I consider myself mostly fluent (not native level by any means but I can read/listen/write/speak well enough, and my abilities there aren’t much worse than in English, though my vocabulary is definitely less robust). I know a bit of French from my mom and middle school, and can figure some other things out à la Spanish. I can also swear in six languages (I don’t but I could lol)
okay that’s all! Tagging All The People to start this off!
(As always if you want to be removed from the tag game master list please lmk I don’t want to annoy ppl lol)
I know bits of languages other than English and Japanese (mainly Spanish, Russian, and Hebrew), but I never really intensely studied them.
I was forced to take Spanish in 6th grade, I learned to read Russian Cyrillic (and learned a bit of Russian) because of a webseries that took place in Eastern Europe (it's unclear if it's in Russia or Belarus, but they speak Russian), and I forgot all the Hebrew I learned after my Bat Mitzvah. 7 years of Jewish school forgotten almost immediately.
Different alters are more proficient at different languages. We all know English, but I (Ash) am the best a Japanese. Kae can read Hebrew better than I can, and Katya can read Russian Cyrillic faster then me. Rin is about as good as I am in all the languages we know. Charlie can understand Japanese, but not really speak it.
archive of our own and tumblr have far pampered me… i cannot stand a social media platform or app where i can’t block a tag… like wdym i can’t just not ever see these things that i hate ??? wdym im just gonna have to suck it up and force myself to see them..?? what…
Anyone else with chronic pain ever get really absorbed in a project and dissociate from your body while you're working but then you finish and you come back to your body and you're just like AAAAAAAHHH! WHAT'S WRONG?? oh yeah. The horrors. Never mind
