All throughout his reign as one of the admin gods, builderman put a little bit of himself into everything he made. During the slaughter of the heights, he put his final sliver of godhood into something unique. A device that could bring anyone anywhere- an escape vessel to avoid the wrath of 1x. Now at first, it didn't look like much- unfinished. still waiting for it's purpose...

But Builderman had shed his godly form, to live among mortals and start his own life.

The machine never forgot. It searched, Wandering- looking for its purpose. To bring people to new places- to escape the world they lived in. And, with time, and the influence of the world around it- It became known as The Elevator.

People- Companies- GODS- They all tried to take advantage of it. but The Elevator had changed. It developed its own thoughts and feelings- much like a wild animal.

However, Builderman never forgot. He passed the blueprints to finish his machine down to his children- then instructed them to pass it to their children, and their children's children- until the machine is finished.

And that blueprint is still being passed along, with every new builderman it finds itself in the hands and heart of.

Sure, it can get quite mundane and repetitive, but even in a manufactured hell, there's comfort to be found in the little things- and those you share this place with, of course.

How come the killers and survivors are all hanging out?

The realm is made up of more "spaghetti code" than you might think and the Curator is not especially good at optimizing it. Normally this isn't an issue, however one of its prospective killers happened to need reconstructing out of garbage data and a pretty nasty corruption, and while trying to fix HIM a lot of the realm became destabilized for a time.

While rushing to patch up the corruption and glitches, the Curator put all killer rounds on hold for a while, suddenly giving everyone a lot of downtime around the lodge. During this time, the killers- usually sequestered in another area of the lobby- discovered how to move between their home and the survivors' lodge, and with barely anything better to do, started socializing.

The problems caused by unstable code didn't just stop there, though- not only did it allow someone inside a chance to slip out (though the escape was short-lived), but it also weakened its security somewhat... leaving it potentially more open to prying eyes. Maybe someone looking for the missing gods, for example.

"The Break" technically ended when Noli was finally reconstructed and added as a killer. The Playground became stable again, and the rounds resumed. But for whatever the reason- maybe even just the extra entertainment value of letting them mix- the Curator never bothered strictly separating them after that.

sometimes, if someone makes a cruddy mistake that hurt some feelings, you don't have to make a 10 page callout doc detailing every time they were sort of a dick to you. sometimes it's okay to just block someone and talk about the situation to a close friend instead of doing this whole "hear ye hear ye" thing

started playing around the time of the 'sister's of parvos' update as soon as i saw all the different planets... i was hooked, i wanted to conquer them all however being an mr 2 with a the worst builds imaginable meant i was getting my ass kicked in every possible way LMAO

I got hooked after taking a break, i almost don't remember anything from when i first started playing in 2015, i know i took a break at the same or next year after i had to wait a week or two to build the archwing? And only after the break i finally understood how to do anything in the game. One of the first things i remember doing was actually upgrading the mods and equipping them. And realizing that my kubrow died. Or whatever the fuck i did with it. I don't actually remember anything about my first kubrow.

And i know since then it was a smoother ride, since i finally had weapons that did damage, since ya know. They had upgraded mods on.
