Today（May 5th） is Children’s Day in Japan.
It’s a holiday to celebrate boys’ growth.
People fly carp-shaped streamers in the sky🎏,
eat sweets called kashiwa mochi—rice cakes filled with red bean paste and wrapped in leaves🍃—
and display samurai armor and helmet dolls.

It’s a strange tradition. Pretty fun, though.

By the way, There’s also an official Vader Boys’ Day doll,though it’s unclear what kind of blessings it’s supposed to bring.

Setsubun is a strange festival in Japan where people throw hard beans at demons to drive away evil spirits.
