Queer work is skeptical about ordinary modes of attachment, repair, survival, and good objects. It describes the ambivalent position of being in desire while being unsure of what to do with what’s overwhelming or threatening in it, and it opens the floodgates about what can be an object of desire: persons, objects, ways of life, a landscape, an angle, pets, ideas, and so on. It usually forces admissions that statements about how the senses, the social, and bodies work are, at best, propositions about the conditions for outcomes. To queer something doesn’t mean just to stick an antinormative needle into it, but to open up a vein to unpredicted and nonsovereign infusions.

What do u mean ‘you are him’? Xx
I mean, you only want him because he reminds you of your future self.
he is light, playful, a free spirit, nothing seems to bother him, and everything runs through his fingers like sand. what i wish i could be. i like him a lot, and he likes me enough, but not in the same way. i can’t predict the outcome, but i believe that he will never love me. he is too closed off emotionally, incurious about me, and he likes women too much. with his charisma, he can get any woman easily. yet it is still early days. part of me wants to stay in hope. when is it the point to leave?
You have to grieve the possibility of ever attaining him in order to realise you already are him, at which point you will have both.
