Episode 8 - Aaron Burr, Sir- Backstage at Broadway’s HAMILTON with Leslie Odom Jr.
kimchaewcn:
The weekends sre usually lazy days. Productivity falls to an all time low so yeah, I’m with you when you say they fly by. Think that’s normal though. They’re like cheat days. What have you been watching on Disney+? I’ve been obsessed with the Lilo And Stitch series. Phillipa is such a pretty, unique name. Nice to meet you, I’m Chaewon.
Exactly. But I suppose that’s what they were designed for, right? You gotta have some kind of time to be able to just take a break and not do anything. I actually just threw on the suite life of zack and cody. That’s my go to Disney show. Oh my gosh, that show is the best too. Thank you very much, your name is way prettier though. It’s nice to meet you too, Chaewon.
milestelling:
Those that don’t have to deal with the Sunday scaries or just don’t care about the weekend are really lucky…I need them to teach me their ways. They really are which sucks. I can definitely relate to that. Even when I’m not working on a project I always find something to keep me busy.
Right? Those people have no clue how lucky they truly are. Sometimes I wish I could be like that. But getting some time off where you can just do absolutely nothing every once in a while isn’t all that bad.
aricnasgrande:
She’s a wise woman. The weekends are supposed to be the best time of the week. Usually I like to stay busy but when I’m exhausted I swear, I count down the minutes until Saturday hits. Are you serious? That means so much to me. Thank you so much for saying that. I’ve been obsessed with you since your work as Eiza Hamilton. You’re so unbelievably talented. That’s amazing! I hope you have the most amazing time. I already know the musical is going to be incredible with you in it. Actually, I’m down in London filming the Wicked movies so I’m having a lot of fun with that.
She really does seem like it. They definitely are. I hear you on that. Sometimes your body just won’t let you do anything else and you have no choice but to listen to it. Totally serious! I’ve loved you since Victorious. No problem, darling. Oh my gosh, thank you. I’m so happy you enjoyed it. Eliza was my favorite to play. You’re just the sweetest, did you know that? Thank you again. You’re in that? That’s so exciting! You’re gonna be amazing and I can’t wait to see it.
mackayhq:
Constantly! Even though I’m lucky to have some time off right now, weekends always pass far too quickly whenever I’m filming. Though we can make an excuse for lazing around because relaxing is good for balancing the work during the week, yeah? And no one can argue Disney+ is a great way to spend the time! What did you end up watching? I’m George, and it’s nice to meet you, Phillipa!
It’s always nice to have some time off. But I gotta agree -- weekends go by way faster when you’re working on something. Yeah, that’s very true. That’s pretty much what the weekends were made for, right? Disney+ is like the only thing to watch when you’re being lazy. I ended up watching the suite life of zack and cody. It’s nice to meet you also, George.
dianna-agron-xxx:
I feel you on a spiritual level there, you write a to do list, Friday night you are so ready. And then come Saturday morning your bed does not want to let you go
Exactly! You’ve got this detailed plan on what you’re gonna be doing and then you just lose the motivation. It’s horrible sometimes, really.
hailsxb:
every single weekend. i feel like by the time i get everything done that needs to be done, there’s no time to relax and i can’t stand it. cleaning and laundry and all of that…takes up way more time than it seems. nice to meet you, im hailey! what’d you end up watching? disney+ is one of the streaming services i dont have.
That’s so true. All those chores take up almost the entire weekend. Especially if you have a lot of cleaning and laundry that you’ve been neglecting for the week or so. It’s nice to meet you too, Hailey. I ended up watching Suite Life of Zack and Cody all day. Wait, you don’t have Disney+?!
“It’s really scary to have to be onstage all the time because you can’t just leave…There’s a bit of vulnerability there, and responsibility.” - Phillipa Soo [x]
aricnasgrande:
Because the weekend is the time of the week where you feel like you can get go of responsibility which causes procrastination. At least that’s what my therapist tells me when I asked that question. Don’t know how true it is but it happens to more people than you realise. Nice to meet you, I’m Ariana but most people call me Ari. Got any plans for the week?
You know, your therapist sounds kind of right about that. The weekends are usually the time you can just chill out and do nothing. Especially if you had a long work week. It’s nice to meet you, Ari. Love your music, you’re beyond amazing. I do, I have this musical that’s opening up in March on Broadway so my weeks will be filled with rehearsals and all that amazing stuff. What about you? Got anything happening?
perrieexo:
spending your free weekend just watching disney + sounds like solid self-care to me. i’ve been home with my son since little mix went on hiatus, and i feel like i’ve watched nothing but kids shows. what’ve you been binging? anything i should absolutely check out?
It does, doesn’t it? It was a wonderful way to spend the weekend I’ll admit. That sounds like the sweetest way to spend a hiatus though. What shows has he been making you watch with him? Are we still talking Disney+ or other streaming services? Cause I’ve got so many you gotta check out.
leeminhyvks:
It always does like whether I’m working on the weekend or just at home enjoying myself, it always flies by. I’d love for the weekend to just last a bit longer. I think the last productive thing I did was having a 10 anniversary concert with my group members. I still can’t believe I’ve been beside them for that long. I consumed my time watching a few things as well so I’m with you there. Nice to meet you Phillipa, I’m Minhyuk.
It’s such a travesty, isn’t it? Like imagine if the weekends started Wednesday through Sunday with only Monday and Tuesday for workdays? That’d be a pretty sweet deal for everyone, you know? Wow, you guys have been together for 10 years? That’s insane! Did you? What few things did you end up watching? It’s nice to meet you too, darling.
gonedyer:
Oh, do I ever?! The weekend is like a blink away even if I have more time off during that time. You could really lose yourself in the disney+ app, it brings me back to my childhood. I couldn’t even blame you with such a great selection of movies and tv shows. it’s a pleasure to meet you Phillipa. I’m Natalia!
You’re honestly so right about that. It’d probably be a little bit better if it was four days long instead of just two, you know? Oh my gosh, yes! It’s like you could spend hours upon hours on that and never get bored. That was the smartest thing Disney ever did. It’s a pleasure to meet you as well, Natalia. I’m such a big fan of Stranger Things, by the way.
lukcrhemmingz:
i feel like days don’t even exist anymore. time’s a social construct and all that. but really, don’t think there’s any rhyme or reason to my schedule anymore. whether i’m at work or at home, i gotta check my phone to figure out what day it is, let alone the date. i’m luke, it’s a pleasure.
Isn’t it crazy how it’s honestly felt that way for the last couple years now? It’s like weeks and months always seem to fly by even faster now. The pleasure’s all mine, Luke.
look around, look around, at how lucky we are to be alive right now!
lcighannnes:
Oh, absolutely. Two or three days is not enough. We all been there at some point, I’m sure. You can have all these plans to get things done but sometimes it’s just a nope mood. It’s good to have those moments every once in a while to really just relax and have some down time to do nothing. What’d you end up watching anyway? I’m Leigh-Anne, nice to meet you love.
I know, right? You know, I’d have to agree, honestly. But also it’s sometimes a little weird when you’re always so busy and then get that little sliver of free time that you have no idea how to deal with it, you know? I just ended up binging the Suite Life of Zack and Cody. It’s so nice to meet you too, Leigh-Anne.
milestelling:
Sunday scaries are real and I hate them. The weekends definitely go by way too quick and then you have the week drag by. Listen, at least you got to relax and watch things. Weekends where you do nothing are the best in my opinion. Hi Phillipa – I’m Miles.
They really are. It’s honestly such a shame. They’re almost like a blink and it’s over kind of thing sometimes. That’s true, I’ve been just kind of so busy with work that it’s weird just doing nothing sometimes, you know? It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miles.
88rwang:
Yeah, totally but then again i spend most of my days working so i pretty much don’t see the time go by some days you know? did you found something fun on Disney+? If not have you watched the Lightyear movie? nice to meet you Phillipa, i’m Jackson Wang…. from China.
I know what you mean. Spending time working most days is a good way to spend days. I actually did. I watched Suite Life of Zack and Cody which used to be my favorite show. I saw that one too before. It was a really good movie. Nice to meet you also, Jackson.
