Progress! Stone has been set, and I'm pretty happy with it! Now it's just polishing and shining up before the flat black is applied. #wip #metalworking #pendant #deer #knotwork #stonesetting #lapislazuli

It looks a little gnarly from the firescale, but fabrication was a success! Everything is firmly attached. Now it goes into a citric acid bath overnight to remove the firescale, then tomorrow it'll get a flat black enamel coat for the detail (brass doesn't tend to patina well), buffed & polished, and lastly, the stone will be set. Test fitting all the elements before cleaning & soldering. Have to round out the bezel a little bit, but otherwise, ready for the torch!
