Speaking of night meds, we should keep a stash in bed/upstairs for these days when "I'll just lay down for a minute" turns into 10pm and unable to drag self downstairs. Need nurse Pancake to drag the pill strip upstairs like a st. Bernard.

I'm in a cereal mood again. We've been putting a shake of the dried tofu cubes to add a little protein. It's been working out well. Since the tofu is unflavored, they just taste like the rest of the ceral (cornpops). We also have been adding it to instant oatmeal.

So after three months of being greeted at the door and enthusiastic sprinting when called, during which every neighbor I asked “is this your kitty?” responded with some variation of “ew no,” and during which he sprouted a porn star-worthy set of testicles, it became clear that our Mysterious Cat was not some neighbor’s smallish adult free-roaming cat, but a stray half-grown kitten.

And given I’d spent the past three months pulling ticks off of him and petting him and letting him sleep on my lap by that point, it was obvious that no one else was going to take him for shots or neutering or checkups.

And given the coyotes that followed him into the yard and the Red-Tailed Hawks that had taken to circling the yard whenever he napped on the deck, it wasn’t safe to leave him outside anymore, and especially not after surgery.

And if he was staying in the house, it made sense to just get him chipped and adopt him formally.

That said, meet Vinny.

He likes cuddles, tummyrubs, being carried around like a baby, and the other day took it upon himself to heal my migraine by climbing up onto my chest, kneading at my boobs, and purring directly into my face.

He is my beautiful orphan adopted son and I love him.

I went to a clothes shop with my daughter yesterday and we were talking about how the clothes were nice but how it was the kind of shop that made us both feel like a horse. You know it’s like, here I am, a horse at a human clothing shop, putting on clothes that look ridiculous on a horse, and it’s obviously my fault for being a horse and not a human

Of course that sweater looks weird on me, I’m a horse, not a human! I can barely get my hooves through the sleeves, and it bunches up over my withers and doesn’t reach my fetlocks, and there’s no accounting for my hindquarters. Or my forequarters either

So then we started talking about horse shops and classifying clothes as for humans or for horses, and now I’m afraid the idea of the horse shop is permanently cemented in my vocabulary, and someone is going to ask me about clothes and I’ll be like “oh I can’t shop there it isn’t for horses” and it will be weird

Decided to get some more sublingual B12. Should have thought of it sooner. Oh well.

Now that I think about it. We dont have vit D in the med strips. Just multi vit and lutein.

Having a weird giant influx of neutral childhood memories. Don't know what that is about. I think you should be able to delete memories from your brain as well as others. I dont like that other people can remember past Pirate

In other news, I finally heard back from Sue. Apparently, she messaged me the other day, but cause of bad service, I didnt get it. It is what we already knew that work and family stuff just being crazy. They hired a new nurse who has worked in this field before, so hopefully things can calm down.🤞 Highly unlikely she'll make it to dethklok day. Which is fine. Like I said, we will have dethklok day part 2 at my birthday party.
