Will laughs again and then he’s grinning, wide and tired. “Sometimes you’re so confusing, Mike.”

“Confusing?”

“Yeah.” Will is still smiling. “So fucking confusing.”

“Mike,” Will whispers, moving his hips slightly.

“Mh?”

“You’re still hard.”

“Don’t care.”

“Do you want me to –“

“No.”

Will seems to hesitate for a few seconds. Then he lets it go.

Listen. I redrew Will like ten times because I couldn’t get his hair or nose to look accurate, but I can’t do it anymore, so this is what I’m stuck with.

i am so obsessed with wolfstar that it has genuinely ruined my perception of love like. why am i dating a girl i went from strangers to lovers with when what i actually want is a decade-long homoerotically charged friendship.

and it’s not even just wolfstar, it’s fanfiction in general. fanfiction has fundamentally rewired my brain. because why did we communicate clearly and move at a reasonable pace when we could’ve spent seven years emotionally circling each other, yearning, sharing cigarettes at 3am and knowing each other’s tells before we know our own. i want everyone else to think we’re already together except us. i want to be “just friends” while being catastrophically in love.

why am i expected to be normal when ao3 raised me. this is a sickness.

i’ve been in multiple fandoms for a long time, and i’ve never seen the level of hatred i’m seeing now in the stranger things fandom. especially towards the queer side of it and anyone who ships byler or dares to think critically about the show.

it’s not even “discourse” anymore. it’s just open hatred. i saw someone make a so-called “joke” about sending byler shippers to conversion camps and it had thousands of likes. thousands.

i’m so tired of being told we’re “ruining the fandom” just for being queer, tired of people acting like analysis is an attack, tired of how comfortable this fandom has become with dehumanizing jokes.
