Your Instagram & Twitter accounts have natal charts! 👀📸🕊️
In visual culture, we say that our social media platforms are an extension of ourselves— the 2.0 versions. As we start to transition into a society that is becoming more absorbed by these platforms, we may find significance in how we portray ourselves. Observing our social media accounts’ natal charts may provide us with more insight on not only ourselves, but the way we create a brand in response to society’s trends and influences.
Let’s look into how we can extract data from our socials; to create a natal chart through the date of creation:
Instagram
On the top right corner of your profile, click the ‘≡ Triple Bar’ (3 horizontal lines)
⇢ After the info box slides from the right, go to the bottom and click on ‘⚙️ Settings’
⇢ Click on ‘Security’ ⇢ Then ‘Access Data’
⇢ It will lead you to the ‘Account Data’ page, where it details the date you joined and the time
⇢ Thereafter, input this data into Astro.com ‘Event Chart’— you may need to input the location of when you created the account, off by memory.
If you want to check a Celebrity/Verified Account’s half Natal chart:
⇢ On the top right corner of their profile, click the ‘┆Triple Bar’ (3 dotted lines)
⇢ After the info box slides from the bottom, click on ‘About this Account’
⇢ It will lead you to a page, where it details the date they joined and based location
⇢ Thereafter, input this data into Astro.com as an ‘Event Chart’— you may need to input the city they were in when created the account through a “guess-timation”
Twitter
⇢ On the top left corner of your profile, click the ‘≡ Triple Bar’ (3 horizontal lines) ⇢ After the info box slides from the left, go to the bottom and click on ‘Settings and privacy’
⇢ Click on ‘Account’ ⇢ Then scroll to ‘Your Twitter Data’ and click ⇢ ‘Account’
⇢ Confirm your Password
⇢ It will lead you to the ‘Your Twitter data’ page, where it details the date you joined, the time (even to the second), and Location
⇢ Thereafter, input this data into Astro.com as an ‘Event Chart’
* Note: Capricorn/Saturn = shows you the area that you most struggle with or feel insecure about, regarding the performance of your platform. Although in time, you may grow to overcome it. Leo/Sun = shows you the area you shine the most, and feel confident.
Your overall account’s identity and aesthetic, which is essentially your branding (Rising signs thrive more when they brand themselves with specific colours - ie. Scorpio/Mars = Deep Reds)
How others perceive your posts (ie. Moon may suggest that they view it as nurturing or emotional)
The part of your personality that’s most apparent
Example: If you have a natal Virgo Mercury and your Instagram account has a Virgo rising, people may notice your intelligence and use of language a lot more easily
Material possessions that you may share with your followers (as posts or even giveaways)
Potential financial earnings/income and how you spend it on resources
Your values regarding your content (ie. Pisces/Neptune may suggest that the account owner seeks to be charitable)
Self-esteem/worth the account brings out in you
Example: Pluto = Transformation and growth is seen in your personality through the platform. Another manifestation may suggest the account owner tends to fixate over the analytics/engagement.
How you network and communicate (your brand’s voice) with your followers
Short distance travel tags that are relevant to your posts (ie. Venus/Taurus in this house may suggest that you might tag places relating to comfort and beauty, such as spas or nail and hair salons)
Can indicate the likelihood of neighbours, peers, and/or siblings being seen or tagged in your posts… or whether they’re the majority demographic of your followers
Example: Gemini = Local friends and siblings, alternatively this placement can suggest that you have a variety of interests present on the account
Indicates what makes you feel comfortable and how you nurture yourself through the account
What you’re naturally good at (A stellium here may suggest that you effortlessly express your emotions through your posts)
Shows the foundations of your branding (ie. Sagittarius/Jupiter here may suggest how it was originally for travel pictures or you created it while you were abroad)
You may share aspects of your home or family if there are planets here
Your nostalgia, roots (ie. Pisces/Neptune in this house may suggest that you wanted to share film photos of your family and experiences)
Example: Ceres and Moon = Sharing topics and posts relating to your native homeland’s cuisine
Your self-expression, engagement, and creativity
The types of accounts you personally enjoy following
Potential for fame or popularity if there is a stellium, North Node, Sun, Part of Fortune, and/or Leo degrees
This house rules children, so if there’s Leo, Aries or the asteroid Child (4580)— this may be an account for children (or even inner child)
The account may attract some romance or posts may revolve around fun experiences, especially if Taurus/Libra/Venus is present here (dating/hanging out)
Example: Pisces, Neptune or Venus = Sharing topics and posts relating to art and beauty
Potentially a health and wellness account if there’s a stellium or significant sign-planetary placements (especially Taurus/Venus, Virgo/Mercury, and Aries/Mars)
May be an account made for pets or small animals (ie. Leo Moon here may suggest it’s an emotional support pet that gives you pride when sharing posts about them online - I could see this specific pet being a cat)
This house also rules work and coworkers, so it may show the likelihood of your use of the account for said purposes or whether the account is treated as a job
If the above is the case, the planets here show how you service others
Depending on the planet(s) here, you may feel like maintaining the account is a part of your routine
Example: Saturn = restrictions, delays that keep you away from posting consistently. It may also suggest that it’s an account for your job only, so that’s why you don’t post often
Shows how others relate to you and who your ideal customers or followers are (ie. Libra/Venus suggests that the majority of your demographic will be interested your posts especially if they’re aesthetic and non-controversial)
The potential to form business contracts (negotiations/agreements) and partnerships through this account
If there are significant sign, planets or asteroids to indicate this, the account may be one where the owner often posts about their close relationships with others
Example: Venus, Ceres and Taurus = Could potentially refer to a couple’s foodie account, or Sagittarius Mercury = Travel blog/vlog
Shows the potential to earn/receive money from others through this account
Indicates the account’s potential to go through transformations or what they hide from the public (Mutable signs on the cusp of this house or having Uranus here will likely provoke change the most - they can go as far as deleting/archiving posts quite often)
Themes relating to the death and/or the occult may be prominent if there are significant planets that refer to spirituality or religion (Pluto, Neptune, Jupiter) or even Lilith placed here
Example (literal interpretations): Mars = An account that explores sexuality, Jupiter = an account that can bring in money and immense growth
The potential to educate and share your knowledge (ie. Scorpio/Pluto/Mars here will show that people find you as intelligent, although potentially aggressive in expressing beliefs and ideas)
Long distance travel tags that are relevant to your posts (ie. Libra here may suggest that you post travels pictures that are either aesthetic or specifically of Countries/Cities that are Libra ruled - Japan, France, Argentina, etc).
Indicates how far around the world you may reach others through your account - A stellium, Jupiter, or Leo/Sun here can suggest fame for being cultured
Can show whether the account may revolve around travelling, philosophy, spirituality/religion, higher education, and law
Example: Mercury = Translating your content/captions in several languages or being a literal language teaching account
Shows the type of reputation, power or influence you have on others
The potential of turning the account into a career and reaching success (Aquarius/Uranus on the MC will likely thrive due to its comfort with unconventional and innovative modes of expressions. It also rules the internet. Pisces/Neptune may also thrive especially on Instagram since it rules cameras, arts, and illusions)
Tells us what you contribute to society through the platform (ie. Chiron = Healing)
Example: Leo or the Sun = Performance art, acting/skits, leadership and drama are prominently seen in the profile's content and interactions
Shows you what’s needed to attract many followers/a network (ie. Leo/Sun and North Node can suggest that your account is meant to be seen)
The type of followers, community, friends you gain from the account
Indicates the ambitions/wishes you may have regarding your social media presence
Your account may cater towards charitable/philanthropic activities especially if there are influences from Pisces/Neptune or Uranus/Aquarius
Example: Uranus or Aquarius = Involvement with internet groups or collaborations that are marginalized and/or deemed as progressive (ie. LGBTQ+, BIPOC, etc)
Desires or fantasies regarding the account
Either gaining or being spied on by hidden enemies on the platform (ie. Scorpio/Pluto may hint at people stalking your accounts with fake profiles)
Addictions that may come to light while managing your profile or posts
Hidden adversaries or self-limiting behaviours with this account
Example: Gemini/Virgo/Mercury = Insecurities relating to speech or ideas, therefore hiding them from the public
