Happy new year 2025! Hope you can achieve nice things this next year, and leave behind troubles and bad stuff!

** OK, it's official: I only put things on the Internets for New Year. **

Recently I made a new year's resolution, to kick away all the overwork and have time for myself and my stuff.

During these holidays I've been learning a bit of Eleventy and preparing the new website where to put all drawings and things. As soon as I have it ready I'll put in my site [www.maiuscomics.com], because YES, I'm old and I still pay for my own hosting, and I code it in HTML. Once built, I'll resume posting JRS stuff (I have some comics waiting in the eternal queue of lost web-comics).

Also, I'm thinking to open a BlueSky account and close the Twitter (D.E.P.) one, but before I need a "policy" to avoid doom-scrolling and FOMO.

Anyway, I'm still around, and trying to get out of the "pit of despair" (Just when I think I'm out, they drag me back in!) to post new stuff.

So, have a happy entrance into 2025, and hope to talk to you back again very soon!

And finally, I found a moment to draw and post stuff again!

I have in the "ready to release" queue a few JRS comics, and lots of drafts of things, BUT THE EFFING WALL IN FRONT OF ME DIDN'T ALLOW ME TO PROCEED! Recently I renounced to an "important" work position, keeping me troubled with crap I didn't care anymore, keeping me away from enjoying anything during these last... two years? Finally I reached the limit and quit such position, to focus on what I really enjoy in my job. (But until things are written in paper, there's always the danger to be dragged back again to the pit! So now my duty is to be cautious for the next months...)

I usually drew a "Happy New Year" doodle and post it here (also on Twitter, that I left time ago and set some distance between doom-scrolling and myself). But this new year I won't, as I'm still recovering some energy and patience. For the moment, I'll just limit myself to exist around and watch all your doodles.

So, my dear people here, for those who stayed around, those who lately arrived, and those who just like to pass by, have a Happy New Year 2024! :)

The Sixtoe Stand (Part 2) - Illustrations from the following sessions of the campaign, from the 6th towards the ending. The vagabond adventurers could solve (most of) the trouble at the village, being able to avoiding the fateful resolution for the Ochrepaws and Snouts, suspecting always of Bernadette (poor dear), without the village ending on fire and without having to run for their lives at the end.

Therefore, more fan-art of the RPG sessions here, with what happened (without spoilers) in the mountain village for the second half of the adventure. Next adventure: The Coolclaw Mines! (Another of the adventures in the RootRPG Clearings Book.)

Next Adventure in The Sixtoe Stand

After the events in Hookfoot Bog, the heroes are captured by a nemesis, but escape thanks to the help of an old friend (new player in the adventure). They end in the Sixtoe Stand, a village under siege by a wolf pack, also with internal turmoil between foxes, bunnies and crows.

This is the “Guide of Characters” we are keeping for the last 7 sessions (we're still playing it). I display this visual guide to the players with the characters initially shaded, and then reveal them as the heroes meet each one.

Note: the Sixtoe Stand is an adventure from the “Root: The RPG - Clearing Booklet”, like the Hookfoot Bog. Check them at Magpie Games (the publisher).

Adventures in Hookfoot Bog (Part 1)

[Recap from 2022] So far, the adventurers (Ellora the Badger and Quinn the Wolf) had put themselves in interesting situations.

Instead of relating the sessions (it is extremely boring to hear someone else’s RPG game), I’m going to upload the game fan-art I did from our characters. With the first issue, episodes 1 and 2 of “The Hookfoot Bog”.

Adventure in the The Hookfoot Bog

I didn’t do much illustrations for our first Root-RPG adventure we did (the Pellenicky Glade). But for the second adventure, the Hookfoot Bog, I started to illustrate the sessions, to be published soon.

This is the “Guide of Characters” we kept during the 10 sessions it lasted. They began shadowed, so characters were appearing as the players met them. That way, the players could remember every NPC and relate them together, trying to solve the different missions they were given in the bog.

Note: the Hookfoot Bog is an adventure from the “Clearing Booklet”, and the Pellenicky Glade is an adventure from the Starting Booklet. You can buy them and play them with your friends!

Hello everybody! It's been long time since I was around!

Just a hundred million years ago I left the Internets, running away from the stupid feeling that I was wasting my real-life-time. Also, at that time (winter 2022) that infra-being of E.M. started buying Twitter, and I read that as the signal to just go away.

And then, I fell into the dark pit of the Role-Play games.

For the last two years I've been playing DnD games, really intense Alien RPG games, and mastering a Root-RPG one. (I lost the count of campaigns in DnD, and now we're in the 3rd Root campaign).

The image above is the reference sheet for the first Root-RPG campaign "Pellenicky Glade". Ellora the Arbiter (Badger), Quinn the Ranger (Wolf) and Scratch the Scoundrel (Cat) must solve the assassination of Alton Goshawk, the mayor of Pellenicky, while dodging the political intrigues of the clearing. [We spent 16 sessions of 2 hours for my players to finish it in a glorious way.]

I'll start uploading the different images from the adventure, also from the following campaigns we're in right now.

Finally, I plan to upload new comics, illustrations and JRS stuff (my webcomic that I'll update some day) in my website maiuscomics.com and "replicate" them here (and maybe the remains of Twitter).

People, I know that almost nobody reads this, but... it feels good to be back around in Tumblr :_)
