Thanks guys, when I get into a bad mood it tends to mess up everything I do that day so I can use all the help I can get quashing this malaise. I’m just really bummed because Splatoon is aesthetically everything I’d want in a game and I’ve been wanting to play it since the first one, but the single-player mode is much too rudimentary to hold my attention. However it’s true that there’s plenty of other games for it, DD wants to show me Bayonetta finally so this is probably the perfect time to do that. I never played online multiplayer games much before this so if I recontextualize the Switch as just the same local-player-only consoles I’m used to it doesn’t feel like as much of a burn that they want to charge for something you used to have for free.

Edit: I’m sad again because Salmon Runs were so cool. :c

they’re releasing an animal crossing on switch next year, if it makes you feel any better. it’s one of my favorite games.
