The FCC just voted to kill Net Neutrality. Congress can stop the FCC and overrule their vote using the Congressional Review Act. We need each and every one of us to keep the pressure on Congress. We have to be totally honest, this situation is seriously grim.Ā But there is still hope.Ā The FCC already knows that the Internet community wants net neutrality, but they think they can put their spin on these new rules and sneak them through.Ā If we can prove them wrong right now with a massive public outcry, we can literally save the Internet once again.
We need to stop the FCC now.Ā Big business groups are already ramping up lobbying efforts with the FCC in swarms since Wednesdayās announcement in support of censoring the open Internet and to ensure this dangerous proposal moves forward. [2]

Google is the latest tech company to drop the longstanding wall between anonymous online ad tracking and userās names.
Guys, this is really important. Until now, Google collected your data, but did not attach your name to it. Now, they can, and will. This new thing theyāre doing will allow them to collect your data across searches, your email, Youtube, Maps, Google+, and all their affiliates, and build a complete profile of YOU.
If that doesnāt bother you, maybe this will: they own and can sell all that data, including anything you create and send (artists and writers, take note).
There is a way you can opt out of this ridiculousness. Itās described in the link, but if youāre still not sure about it, please ask me and Iāll guide you through how to turn all this off.
This is my wake-up call. Iāll be locking down my devices and scaling back what I put through the big Google machine, which means you may see less of me across social media. Iām going to keep researching this, but it may mean in order to keep the rights to my creative work, Iāll have to keep it out of Googleās hands. And that may take some doing.
