Heard this via TED and currently the speaker's name escapes me. If you spend one hour per day dedicated to your area of specialty, you will be a national expert in 5 years.
Goals
To accomplish a great thing you must have the arrogance to believe you can and the humility to put in the work your goal requires.

5 Awesome Facts About Senegal Parrots
The awesome thing about owning a Senegal Parrot is how they bond with you. In the wild they are used to having a mate, however when they find themselves as your pet they make their bond to you. Ownership can be a wonderful and rewarding experience. 1. They will catch on to your personality. Senegal Parrots will mimic the sounds around them, including you. They will laugh when it is appropriate and speak, as well. Pixel will say things like, "good morning," "kiss goodnight," and whistle when a pretty lady walks in. 2. They will lay on their back Senegal Parrots can be very trusting of their owner and lay down in the palm of their hand. On many occasions Pixel has allowed me to pick him up and cradle him in my hand. (This often impresses people unfamiliar with birds) 3. Live a Long Time Unlike other domestic animals Senegal Parrots can live 30-50 years in captivity. They are excellent companions and can provide verbal conversations that are impossible for other animals. 4. They Are Small Senegal Parrots can vary in size. However the majority are small enough to lay down in an adult sized hand. Pixel can be loud, yet he doesn't squack like other larger Parrots and is apartment-friendly. 5. Easy to Train When Pixel came into my life he was already full grown. He would say,"Hi Pixel!" When I would come home from work. After sometime spent training Pixel began to say, "Hi Tim!" This took some repetition, but he learned quickly. If you decide to become a Senegal Parrot owner, I am sure you will enjoy your new friend. With patience and care this highly adaptable and entertaining bird will be your new avian amigo!

Sad Teddy Bear God
Do you know God is a Sad Teddy Bear? Since many put blame on him or deny his existence he finds himself a depressed, stuffed bundle of soft sewn fabric. He of course has a son named Jesus, but do you know about his other son? Stan Sron? More responsible and hard nosed Stan Sron brings order and justice to balance Jesus' lessons of grace and forgiveness. In the spiritual realm, the divine family has two cats. Hover Cat and Basement Cat. At one time they lived in Heaven together, but after Basement Cat tried to kill Sad Teddy Bear God by burning down the holy palace, Sad Teddy Bear God banished him to a life of dim-lighting and dry cat food in the basement of the newly constructed divine palace. Hover Cat on the other hand is an earth cat who comes and goes freely through a cat door at St. Peter's gate. She's a good kitty, although elusive, most are surprised when she makes her presence known. Outside of the constraints of time this unique group has created and designed galaxies, but for some unbeknownst reason they have an affinity for Earth. And it is on this planet that many of their adventures take place...
G'day fellow bird lovers!

My blog
This blog is designed as an expression of ideas through the personality of my Senegal parrot Pixel. He is my creative vessel.
Through this blog I…ahem Pixel will type fictional and fact-based stories, post videos of times where he “be goofin”, and take photos of the environment we live in. This blog is meant for entertainment and learning.
